Chapter 899

Chapter 899

Since the living room door was still closed, lan could only hear Tyler’s voice and had no idea that Tyler

also brought Darlene.

The servants wisely left when they saw him with Maja, so lan had to answer the door himself.

As soon as the door was opened, he saw Darlene standing outside.

She was clearly dolled up and looked more like Maja this time.

But it was just the makeup, many internet celebrities these days love to mimic a star’s look.

Darlene used to hang out at BlueSky Bar, she didn’t learn much else there, but her makeup skills were

on point.

lan’s face darkened at the sight of her, and he was about to slam the door shut.

Tyler stretched out his hand to stop the closing door.

“What’s up with Greenfield Gardens today? There’s no one around. I saw the security guys

coordinating the workers to bring in a new gate, if someone else saw this, rumors about you getting

robbed would start spreading immediately.”

Tyler shamelessly pushed open the door with Darlene, her cheeks flushed, following behind him.

“Mr. Raymond.” But as she looked up and saw Maja on the sofa, her face turned pale.

Why was Maja here? Wasn’t she supposed to be in trouble?

Even if she survived, she should be in the hospital by now.

Darlene clenched her fists. After this incident, she learned to be cautious.

She couldn’t act impulsively anymore, it would only make lan loathe her more.

“Mr. Raymond, this is the gift I brought for you.”

Even though it was bought with lan’s money, she had put some thought into picking it.

When Tyler saw Maja, his eyebrow raised. He instantly knew who had turned Greenfield Gardens into

this mess.

He had known lan for many years and knew he had a long memory for grudges. He was ruthless and

vicious in the business world, and only Maja could keep him silent after a setback.

Tyler saw that lan was serious, so he started cooking up bad ideas. He just didn’t want to see his friend

in distress.

Maja liked someone else, she was too calm, and she didn’t have any feelings for lan at all.

Even if she did, her feelings were too restrained.

In love, no one can always be rational.

If someone could, then she definitely didn’t love the other person enough.

Like lan, he was willing to give up 10% of his shares and the presidency of the Raymond Corporation

for Maja. This was his irrationality.

The feelings between the two were unbalanced, and the one who gave more would be more likely to

lose their sanity in the future.

So, realizing this, Tyler started stirring the pot.

“Oh, I thought it was someone else, turns out it’s Penny.”

Maja didn’t show any expression when she saw them.

But when she saw Darlene, she was a bit self–mocking.

Elvis was still in the hospital, and the culprit was here in Greenfield Gardens, looking as if nothing had

happened.

She was very annoyed.

Darlene seemed to do it on purpose, placing the gift she bought on the entryway table as if she were

the lady of the house. novelbin

lan was already feeling guilty, and his tone became cold when he saw Darlene.

“Get out.”

He was even impolite to Tyler.

Tyler laughed and walked directly to the living room.

“Don’t be like that. I brought Darlene to see you today, having her wait outside is not the solution. I

heard she waited all night a few days ago just to see you.”

Darlene thought Tyler was supporting her, so she no longer hid her intentions and tried to grab lan’s

arm.

But lan was like an ice sculpture, radiating a cold aura, the corner of his mouth curled up in a mocking

smile.

“I told you we shouldn’t see each other again.”

Was he too kind? This woman was getting more and more arrogant.

Darlene didn’t expect him to be so ruthless, her face turned pale instantly.

“Mr. Raymond.”

“Get out.”

len grabbed her arm to push her out, but then Darlene shouted out, “I’m pregnant!”

That one sentence made the atmosphere on the scene very awkward.
