Chapter 876

Chapter 876

She knew what this meant, and it was pretty straightforward.

Maja wanted to reply to her message like maybe lan didn’t really need this. He couldn’t even show an

ounce of interest now.

lan had even insisted she accompany him to the hospital that day, and the doctor had already said he

had issues.

Even if he did have the urge now, he just didn’t have the energy.

She typed a few words but then thought better of it. Best for this Ms. Sanders to forget about her

altogether and stop being a pain in her ass.

Setting down her phone, she wondered if she could get into Greenfield Gardens now that lan was in

North America.

She hurriedly drove to Greenfield Gardens, hoping to find Coco there.

It was too dark, and when she parked her car at the entrance of Greenfield Gardens, she heard a dog

bark from inside.

A flash of white darted out from the gate so fast it left a blur.

She pressed herself against the gate, telling the security guard, “Open the gate. That’s my dog.”

The guard had no reason to stop her now but still gave her a warning.

“Ms. Pennyfeather, if you want to take it away, you have to be quiet. Sir–is–not in a good mood

today.”

Today? Wasn’t lan in North America today?

She didn’t say anything and followed where Coco had run off to.

Coco was having a blast in Greenfield Gardens. There was even good food, and he dashed into the

villa on the second floor. Maja, helpless, had to follow him.

The entire villa was quiet that night, and it seemed no one was home.

“Woof!”

Coco’s barking echoed through the hall, making Maja worry that if lan came back, he would kick him

out.

Coco darted into the master bedroom, lan’s room.

Maja felt a chill run down her spine, and he was allergic to dog hair, if he came back, Coco might get

into trouble.

She quickly opened the door and went in.

The room was dark, and she called out, “Coco.”

The room reeked of alcohol, and she wanted to turn on the light, but then a pair of hands grabbed her.

She was so scared she almost screamed, and in the dim light from outside, she saw lan.

His shirt was unbuttoned, revealing his firm abs, a bottle of alcohol in his hand, and a dazed look in his

eyes when he looked at her.

His eyes were slightly red from the alcohol, and he chuckled.

“Maja?”

Maja quickly realized that the photo Ms. Sanders sent might be edited.

The one of lan might have been taken when he was in North America negotiating with the CEO of the

EcoTraverse Group.

“lan, watch out.”

Maja saw Coco pounce and quickly pulled him back.

Afraid the dog hair would get on him.

Luckily, Coco just dashed out of the room, jumping around excitedly.

She let out a sigh of relief, and just as she was about to get up, the hand around her waist tightened.

Then, a passionate kiss came.

“Don’t.”

lan wasn’t going to let her go. He had booked a flight to North America just a day before but felt

incredibly uncomfortable when it was time to leave.

Was he really going to spend Valentine’s Day alone in North America?

With someone he didn’t even like.

Was it worth it to go against Maja?

lan had drunk a bit too much alone in his room that night, couldn’t even tell reality from dreams, andnovelbin

just wanted to do what he desired most.

So, his actions were quite reckless.

The pain made Maja curl her hands into fists, wanting to slap him, but then he asked, “Does it hurt?”

She was so angry she couldn’t say a word, and then, he knelt down.

“Where does it hurt? Let me kiss it better.”

The thrill of the moment made her feel like her world was turning upside down.

Maja felt utterly humiliated, and by the time he came back, she was no longer in pain, her mind full of

that sentence. She couldn’t resist lan’s charm.

Until midnight.

She quickly picked up her clothes from the floor and put them on, the satiated man still holding her.

She pushed him away, thinking his condition must have improved. He was as dominant as before.

As she took the dog out, she bumped into a woman coming in at the entrance,

A very unfamiliar woman, but one who looked a lot like her.

Maja immediately tightened her grip on the leash, hearing the woman tell the security guard, “Mr.

Raymond told Tyler that he wanted to see me.” The guard opened the gate for her.

Maja’s mind was in chaos. No wonder there were no servants in the villa that night. Ian had called a

woman over.
