The word “sick” was like a sharp knife, making lan unable to move.

After a while, he said, “Am I not good enough?”
When he asked this question, he lowered his head, and his tone became gentler, “Or did I treat you
badly before?”
“Indeed, Mr. Raymond, you used to look down on me, belittled me. I once hated you, but tonight, I am
truly grateful to you.”
