The police replied, “Ms. Pennyfeather, the body has been cremated. May Chandler’s maternal family
didn’t care about her, so her cremation was decided by her husband. There’s no autopsy report.”
Maja took a deep breath, “Just because Ferris is her husband, he gets to decide her life and death?
