Chapter 451

Chapter 451

Right now, lan was standing behind Maja, his chest against her back, also looking out the window.

Maja seemed to be able to hear his heartbeat.

Actually, last night, when she helped lan dry his hair, he quietly hugged her. She suddenly had the

feeling lan was feeling sad.

Maybe women were naturally prone to motherly feelings. At that moment, she could somewhat

understand his feelings.

Just like she’s often abandoned by others.

But would lan be like that?

He’s a top–tier success. All he had to do was snap his fingers, and countless people were willing to

help him unconditionally.

So she dismissed her feelings.

After that, lan resumed his dominant attitude.

As if that moment of vulnerability was just an illusion,

lan distanced himself from her and made a call to the person in charge, saying he was safe here and

not to worry; he would wait in the cabin.

The people in the villa finally breathed a sigh of relief wiping the sweat off their foreheads.

The servant in the villa said, “Mr. Raymond might have gone to find that lady.”

“That lady might have already left in her car.”

The people in charge looked at each other. They didn’t expect someone like lan to have a moment of

confusion.

Going out in this weather, whether he could come back safely was a question.

But he didn’t seem to hesitate.

Someone looked at Daly; everyone knew Maja was related to Daly.

Daly looked a bit upset. He felt humiliated, especially considering Maja’s reputation at Solstice Collegenovelbin

in Crystalbrook Valley. Everyone thought she would achieve great things, only to see her with the big

boss.

Daly felt like he had lost his face too.

So facing everyone’s gazes, he felt embarrassed and went out for a smoke.

Bob quickly followed.

They were both just drivers, with no say in the matter.

In the afternoon, the person in charge was willing to talk to Daly simply because he was related to

Maja.

“Daly, don’t mention this to your family. Let it be.” Bob consoled him.

Daly, still angry, lit up another cigarette.

“Who could I tell? I just feel like I let down my sister!”

Bob knew his family situation and sighed.

“Hey, young girls, who doesn’t like the rich? Mr. Raymond is handsome and wealthy. Maja took a

wrong turn, but she’ll come around.”

“If her husband finds out, everyone will lose face! Our whole family takes pride in Maja. After all, she’s

a graduate of Solstice College; only a few come out of Crystalbrook Valley every few years! Let’s drop

it; I think the girl is just dazzled by the outside world.”

Daly took a few more puffs.

Bob comforted him for a while before leaving him with a final word.

“Is Olivia carrying a boy or a girl? That guy, Leo, has started working; you should be feeling a lot

lighter.”

Mentioning Leo and Olivia, Daly visibly relaxed.

“Probably a boy. The whole family has been nervously watching Oli’s pregnancy, feeding her high–

quality food every day.”

“After the baby is born, I’ll bring gifts to you guys.”

Daly finally felt a bit better.

He had completely forgotten how disappointing Leo and Olivia used to be.

Bob told Daly not to tell anyone about this, but Daly couldn’t resist when he called Susan Elston.

Unexpectedly, Olivia was also there and scolded loudly.

“That bitch! I knew she was no good! She was advising me to divorce Leo, and now she’s hooked up

with the big boss! Disgraceful! Shameless!”

Olivia ranted for a while, hands on her hips.

“She’s got a husband, and she’s messing around outside; disgusting! She’s just like her mother!”

Susan was worried about Olivia’s pregnancy, so she didn’t dare to say anything.

But in reality, Olivia was just jealous that Maja could have a relationship with that man. She

remembered how she used to dress carefully, but he didn’t even give her a second look. She really

didn’t know how she was worse than Maja.
