Chapter 367

Chapter 367

Sure enough, when she saw lan and the CEO of Silverstone Enterprises, even Nathan, in the box, her

brows immediately knitted.

Both her real and fake husbands were in the same box.

Her head was throbbing.

But Samuel took her by the hand and walked straight to Judson.

“Mr. Judson, I should have come to see you earlier. I knew you were in the box opposite. Good thing I

asked around.”

Judson was feeling anxious about Nathan losing lan’s stuff, but his face brightened considerably with

Samuel’s arrival.

“Mr. Brown, Penny, why don’t you sit down and have a drink with us?”

Samuel saw lan, “So Mr. Raymond and Ms. Shepard are here too. You two are really lovey–dovey.” novelbin

When she saw Maja come in with Samuel, Carlene felt a natural revulsion, “Mr. Brown really is fickle.

His female companion was different just a few days ago.”

For Samuel, this was just a joke. But for Maja, it wasn’t friendly. It was like telling everyone in the box

that Maja could be replaced at any time. Samuel knew all this too well and immediately defended

Maja.

“Ms. Shepard, don’t get me wrong. Penny is not my lady friend but my future business partner. She’s

an interior designer. We’re definitely going to have a lot of opportunities to collaborate in the future.”

Carlene was rebutted and didn’t know what to say, so she just gave a faint smile.

lan’s gaze fell on Maja. His face was gloomy and indifferent, but there was a hint of curiosity among

these emotions.

After all, Nathan was standing right next to Maja, looking for something.

Samuel was about to sit down with Maja; but Maja signaled him to go first, then whispered to Nathan,

“What are you looking for?”

Nathan was sweating profusely. When he saw her come ih, it was like seeing a lifesaver.

“I accidentally lost one of Mr. Raymond’s cufflinks. I think it must be very expensive. Penny, you go

ahead and eat. I’ll come over when I find it.”

Since they were speaking in hushed tones, no one knew what they were saying. They just thought they

were standing close together, whispering. lan withdrew his gaze.

His mood got colder, and he didn’t bother with those two.

Maja was lucky; she immediately spotted the cufflink in a potted plant. It hadn’t fallen on the floor, so

Nathan hadn’t found it.

She handed the cufflink to Nathan.

Nathan breathed a sigh of relief and looked at her gratefully.

He immediately reported to lan, “Mr. Raymond, I found the cufflink. I’ve put it in the pocket of your suit

jacket.”

Judson was worried that lan would be upset about this, so he said to Nathan, “Go ask the server when

the last dessert will be served.”

It was like telling Nathan to leave and not come back.

Nathan got the message, nodded, and then quietly said to Maja.

“Penny, I’ll go first. Don’t drink later, or you will get drunk.”

This was just his kind reminder.

Maja nodded, also worried that he might say something wrong in front of lan.

“In front of anyone who might know me, please tell them you’re married. If anyone asks who your wife

is, just brush it off.”

We have to make them believe you’re married.

Nathan thought back to his answer to lan earlier. There shouldn’t be any problems.

“Okay, don’t worry, I’ll remember.”

They nodded at each other, and Nathan left.

Judson immediately proposed a toast to lan as soon as he was gone, “Nathan just got promoted. If he’s

offended you in any way, I hope you’ll forgive him, Mr. Raymond.”

lan chuckled, his sharp gaze fixed on Maja, then he looked away.

won’t get angry. After all, he’s Penny’s friend.”

Judson suddenly realized, quickly invited Maja to sit down, and then turned on gossip mode.

“Are Penny and Nathan close?”

Maja was very calm, lightly raising her glass.

“Yeah, pretty good.”

“Speaking of which, Penny is so young and beautiful. Is she married?”

Maja nodded without hesitation.

“I’m married.”

Judson started praising, “I wonder who the lucky man is who married her.”

Compared to her straightforward admission, Nathan’s earlier claim of being single seemed quite

ridiculous.

lan was quietly observing all of this, without any reaction, just quietly swirling the wine in his glass.

Whether male or female, maintaining a single image in public can enjoy the advantages of being single

in the workplace.

That’s the unspoken rule of the workplace.

Nathan wasn’t willing to admit it, probably worried that marriage would hold him back.

lan put down his glass; he didn’t know why she was giving such special treatment to someone like

that.
