Chapter 358

Chapter 358

Maja got a call from the hospital, telling her Glenn had been in an accident and was now in a coma.

The doctors were notifying contacts on Glenn’s phone.

By the time Maja arrived, Cristina was already there, sobbing her eyes out.

She held Glenn’s phone in her hand, looking at the messages Maja had sent him, her eyes filled with

spite.

“You bitch! Did you set him up? You’re a criminal, and I’m calling the cops on you!”

Cristina moved to slap Maja.

But Maja caught her hand and flung it away without hesitation.

“Cristina, did the doctor’s report come out? I just wanted to talk to Glenn about the business. You know

the Pennyfeather family’s company’s been having some trouble. What’s wrong with sending these

messages? And it was him who chased after me; you should know what he was thinking, right?”

But Cristina couldn’t accept the fact that Glenn was in a coma: She charged at Maja.

Maja was knocked back, her back hitting the wall hard. She only felt a pain in her chest, which was

unbearable.

Cristina went berserk, punching and kicking Maja.

“Scum! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!”

With Carter missing and Glenn in a coma, Cristina finally lost it.

Maja couldn’t escape the attack of a person out of control, and her hand was soon scratched deeply by

fingernails.

Cristina even viciously tried to blind Maja.

“Drop dead!”

A few nurses rushed over, trying to pull Cristina away, but failed.

The nurses screamed for help.

Security! Call for security!”

In no time, two burly security guards rushed in and finally pulled Cristina off Maja. But Maja’s hand wasnovelbin

scratched and bloodied.

Cristina’s nails were all bloody.

She glared at Maja viciously and even tried to kick her.

“Scum! I should have killed you when I had the chance; you are a nightmare!”

Maja looked down at the back of her hand. The wound scratched by fingernails hurt more than a knife

cut and was more prone to infection.

Cristina was about to have another fit when a nurse called out from a distance.

“Mr. Pennyfeather is awake! Quickly! His family come over, Mr. Pennyfeather is awake.”

At this, Maja forgot about the pain in her hand and hurried to Neil’s ward.

Cristina was stunned on the spot hearing this.

Maja walked into the ward briskly and saw Neil open his eyes, and he was obviously much better.

The nurses carefully removed the tubes from him.

Neil had lost a lot of weight. He looked at Maja, confused.

“Maja…”

His voice was low, like being squeezed out from deep in his chest due to a long period of silence.

Maja’s eyes reddened, and she quickly grabbed his hand.

“You’ve been in a coma for a long time. How are you feeling? Why did you end up in the hospital?”

Neil coughed a few times, couldn’t grasp the flashes in his mind, just felt angry, so angry he was about

to suffocate.

He didn’t answer and just kept coughing.

The doctor explained.

“Mr. Pennyfeather has suffered a great trauma, not only physically but also mentally. I suggest you not

ask this question for now and let him rest properly.”

Maja accepted this advice, just hoping he would recover soon.

Neil couldn’t remember why he ended up in the hospital.

“I’ve been in the hospital for so long; there must be a delay in the company’s affairs. Has Wyatt

called?”

Maja lowered her head, “You need to rest now.”

What Neil was most worried about was the company. He quickly asked, “Where’s my phone?”

Maja knew she couldn’t persuade him.

“Wyatt is dead.”

A hint of shock flashed in Neil’s eyes, and his cough became more severe.

“How could it be… wasn’t he always in good health?”

“The police investigation concluded that he died of alcohol poisoning.”

“Wyatt quit drinking a long time ago.”

“The case is closed. There’s no way to investigate this matter any further.”

Neil was emotional hearing that a person he had been with for so long was dead. He tried to get out of

bed but was held back by Maja.

“You need to stay in the hospital and rest now.”

Neil pushed her hand away, accidentally touching her wound.

She winced in pain.

That’s when Neil noticed the blood on her hand, “What happened?”

As soon as his words fell, Cristina walked in through the door..

She had heard their conversation outside the door and felt secretly relieved that Neil had even

forgotten why he had come to the hospital!

A look of triumph appeared on Cristina’s face, and then she started to complain to him.
