Chapter 349

Chapter 349

Tyler was gripping a glass of booze, a bit out of it.

“Excuse me?”

lan said, “I was talking about Penny.”

“But I was talking about Carlene!”

lan’s hand stopped mid–air, lowering his head and releasing an “Oh.”

Tyler found this amusing but held back a laugh.

“So what you meant just now was, in your relationship with Penny, your thoughts don’t matter. Only

hers do.”

So if Penny wanted to be with him, he’d be game?

But lan refused to answer.

Tyler was getting antsy, “Is that what you meant? I was talking about Carlene, and you didn’t hear a

thing. Are you still hung up on a married woman?”

“I’m not.”

Tyler rolled his eyes, suddenly pointing at a woman not far away, seizing the opportunity while lan was

a bit tipped, he asked, “How does that woman compare to Penny?”

lan’s cold gaze flicked up, taking a quick look, then retracted, “She’s no Penny.”

Tyler glanced at the empty bottles on the table. Was he drinking alone just now?

That’s a rare sight. novelbin

He quickly whipped out his phone and started recording.

“lan, what about the woman on the right with the killer’s body? How does Penny compare to her?”

He couldn’t wait to play this recording back to lan tomorrow.

But lan didn’t respond and just squinted slightly while staring Tyler down with a powerful gaze.

Tyler suddenly felt a bit uneasy. He’s drunk, and his guard is still up?

But he got it; lan does have a thing for Penny.

Tyler had no other hobbies; he enjoyed watching these smart people squirm.

They weren’t sitting in a private room but in the main hall.

Tyler said, in the main hall you get to see the elites let their hair down on the dance floor, throwing

caution to the wind, which gave him great inspiration for his writing.

At that moment, he helped lan up and bumped into Tricia at the entrance.

Tricia knew Tyler, who was lan’s good friend and a famous screenwriter.

Seeing the drunk lan, her eyes lit up, and she quickly approached.

“Let me take Mr. Raymond home, and I specifically came here to pick him up tonight.”

This was a golden opportunity!

Tyler, supporting him, glanced at her, smiled, his eyes sharp.

“You want to sleep with him? Go home and take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Don’t use these

dirty tricks on him.”

Tricia stood frozen on the spot, feeling a cold shiver run down her spine.

Tyler took a step away, then turned back and said, “lan isn’t someone you can seduce, no matter who

you are.”

Tricia felt like an arrow had been shot through her chest, shaking all over her nails and digging deep

into her palms.

Tyler was being lenient with his words; after all, many women tried to get close to lan over the years.

And he could see right through her intentions.

He helped lan into the car and drove him to Rosewood Manor.

On that night, Maja was staying at Rosewood Manor.

Since it was already midnight, she and Maria figured lan wouldn’t be coming back.

Upon getting out of the car, lan rubbed his forehead.

Seeing him sober up a bit, Tyler got back into the car.

“You go in yourself, and I still have to pull an all–nighter writing my script.”

Maja was working overtime alone in the hall, still investigating the company’s 500 million dollar project,

not noticing that the hall door had been opened.
