Chapter 304

Chapter 304

She turned around and said to lan, “lan, I’m going to bounce.”

lan nodded and headed over to Fitch.

Fitch was the heir to the Haskins family, which specialized in breeding arms manufactures. They were

directly controlled by the military and were also a top–tier noble family.

Fitch was gloomy and irritable and didn’t have many friends, but lan and Tyler Bennitt happened to be

his buddies.

lan sat next to him, and Fitch snorted.

“I have no idea why you’re so into her.”

Tyler nudged Fitch lightly with his elbow.

“He’s not like you, mate. He doesn’t just write off all women. lan’s known Carlene since they were kids.

They’re like peas in a pod.”

Fitch cracked a small grin, silently swirling his glass of red wine.

lan didn’t argue with Fitch. He scanned the room and didn’t spot Penny. Where on earth had Connie

taken her?

Maja finished checking out the seafood with Connie and headed to the entertainment facilities.

Swimming pool, bungee jumping, shooting range… you name it, and they had it. These places were

hopping with people.

This gathering was for the young and free, no strings attached.

The seafood display area started to fill up with chefs, scattering people across all areas.

Connie finally took Maja to the dessert area, a ten–meter space filled with sweets.

Mia throws these shindigs every year; it could be any season. The Raymond family all previously

employed these chefs. Foreign Michelin chefs cost more than athletes; only a handful are famous. But

damn, they’re good.”

Anyone else might have sounded like they were showing off, but Connie was just telling it like it was.

Maja couldn’t let Connie’s enthusiasm go to waste, so she tried a little pastry.

She had been walking around the seafood display for an hour, and Connie dragged her around; she

was beaten.

Connie received a phone call, “Penny, a friend of mine is looking for me; just hang out in the desert

area for a bit; I’ll circle back for you.”

Maja nodded, she needed a breather.

Once Connie left, she went to the small garden next to the dessert area and sat on a swing.

The swing was loaded with decorations, completely hiding her. That’s how she overheard something

she should not have.

“Does this drug really work?”

“Sandy, chill. This is the most expensive drug overseas right now. Once lan takes it, he’ll lose it and

make a move on any chick.”

“Good, tonight’s the perfect opportunity.”

Maja stiffened. She recognized that voice.

It was Sandy. Maja had run into her a few times before; they weren’t exactly pals. Was she at the party

too?

Looks like Carlene coming back really put the squeeze on some people, to the point of thinking about

drugging lan.

Maja stayed put, waiting until their footsteps faded before standing up, wondering if she should warn

lan.

-She couldn’t just stand by and let him get into trouble.

Plus, most of Greenfield’s rich young folks were here. If lan was caught with Sandy, it could be the end

for him and Carlene. novelbin

Maja hurried ahead, but as she turned the corner, she bumped into a group of people.

Dana was so stunned that she had a headache. Seeing Maja, she was instantly pissed.

“Are you blind?”

Maja stopped; in front of her stood Dana and Carlene, both in bikinis, ready to hit the pool.

Behind them were a few guys in swimming trunks, two of them were Tyler and Samuel Brown.

Samuel’s eyes lit up, a hint of a smile on his face.

“Penny, did you bring a swimsuit?”

Maja forced a smile, “No.”

She was about to leave when Samuel grabbed her wrist.

“Since you’re here, why not join us? No swimsuit, no problem. Just jump in like that.”

Samuel was always bold. Before she could react, he hoisted her onto his shoulder.

Maja turned red with anger.

“Let go of me!”

Samuel jumped into the pool with her..

Maja was stunned, surfacing from the water, wiping her face, and glaring at Samuel.

Her skin was delicate, dewy water droplets rolling down her eyelashes, her wet body revealing her

curves like a fairy.

The fire in her eyes made her look lively as if she could set one’s heart ablaze.
