“I have to leave. It’s the best way to avoid suspicion.”
Cristina immediately called an ambulance, getting Neil to the hospital. Carter reminded her again not to
give herself away, as Maja was not to be trifled with

Maja got a call from the hospital, telling her that Nell had fallen down the stairs and was in critical
condition.
All her exhaustion vanished instantly. She quickly put on her coat, her face turning pale as a ghost. She
had been to this hospital before and knew the doctor in charge, and that’s why he called her. When
Maja got to the hospital, she saw Cristina sitting alone in the hallway, but she didn’t seem worried.
