Chapter 1793

Ian pondered for a moment, and thought she was right. He dipped his head and kissed her cheek, then wrapped his arms around her as they joyfully made their way home.

When it was time to sleep, he headed for the bathroom to take a shower. Upon coming out, hefound Maja standing by the window on the phone.

The underfloor heating was on and she was dressed lightly, her figure grown more voluptuous withher pregnancy.

Ian lightly pinched her waist, feeling a stir of desire.

Maja still arranging some recent projects with Elvis. Ian's pinch earned him a glare.

He hugged her from behind and dared not go further, instead kissing her on the shoulder gently.

After Maja hung up the call, she tried to push him away, only to hear him say, "All shower gels smellthe same, so why does it smell so amazing on you?"

"Stop it, the doctor said no intimacy."

"I know."

"Then why are you rubbing against me? You'll be the one suffering later."

Being so close to each other, she could feel the warmth emanating from his body.

Ian turned off the lights and grabbed her hand, making his intentions clear.

Realizing what he was up to, Maja's frown deepened.

She twisted his arm hard in protest; but even in pain, he persisted.

He was a tough guy, continuing despite the discomfort.

She found it amusing and couldn't help but really laugh out loud.

Ian took her laughter as consent and became even bolder.

Afterward, he reached for some tissues by the bed to clean her fingers.

Lying in bed, he couldn't fall asleep.

"Hey, Maja, what do you think we should name our child?"

Drowsiness was overtaking Maja, as pregnant women often feel sleepy.

"We'll think about it later."

"It's better to think about it sooner, don't you think? Do you want the baby to take your last name ormine? If it's yours, does that mean the baby will be a Sanders? Sanders is a pretty good-soundingname."

After speaking, he heard the soft breathing of Maja beside him—she had fallen asleep.

Ian gazed at her peaceful sleeping face. There was a time when she had lost a lot of weight, butlately, she's been well-nourished, and her cheeks have become fuller.

He raised his hand to affectionately pinch her cheeks, then his fingers trailed up to touch her browsand eyelashes.

Maja's brows were naturally well-shaped, and her lashes were long.

The more Ian looked, the more content he felt, wishing they could have the wedding right away.novelbin

But with her pregnancy showing and the baby not yet born, she didn't want to have a wedding.

This was something Ian owed her, making her pregnant before marriage, which was somewhatregrettable.

But could they not just get the paperwork done first?

Upon considering this, his eyes immediately sparkled with determination.

The next morning.

As Maja awoke, she saw Ian dressed in a sharp suit, with a pile of about a dozen other suits he hadtried on laid out on the sofa.

She frowned, "Are you going on a blind date or something?"

"We're getting our license. I've made an appointment. Hurry up and get dressed."

Maja was still disoriented when Ian dragged her to the courthouse.

The first time they got married, Ian had gone abroad and didn't return for three years.

She had gone to the civil affairs office alone.

Now, Ian was accompanying her, clearly unfamiliar with the process, and ended up in the queue fordivorce.

After being reminded, he coldly went to the marriage registration area.

After taking a photo and getting the certificate, he was still in a bad mood for having stood in thewrong line. It was such bad luck to have queued up in the divorce line. A bad omen.

Maja, on the other hand, didn't feel much about it. Back in the car, she noticed Ian grabbing herhand, snapping a photo of their entwined fingers, and another of their two certificates.

Then he posted on Facebook:

"Actions speak louder than words."

Ian didn't have many Facebook friends, just a few pals and some business partners closelyassociated with the Raymond Corporation.

It didn't take long for Tyler to comment.

[Finally, it's like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.]

Ian specifically replied to him—[Such a rare moment of civility.]

Tyler was so annoyed he almost fell backward and added another comment.

[If someone had come to their senses earlier, their kid would already be five by now.]

These words hit a nerve for Ian.

When Tyler went to add another comment, he was greeted with a red exclamation mark.
