Chapter 1400

“Dressing like that, clearly you’re here to seduce us, aren’t you?”

“Such a tease!”

Judith’s mind was completely clouded with hatred, her voice hoarse from screaming.

“Stop it! I’m begging you, please stop! Maja, I’m begging you to save me, save me! Why won’t you

save me? I just wanted to find my brother. Dylan, help me, please.”

But Dylan was miles away in Greenfield; how could he possibly come to her rescue?

Judith was left barely recognizable, a broken shell of a person just clinging to life. Her battered body

seemed like it could take no more abuse.

Then, a video of Judith pleading with Maja on the streets was sent to Dylan, along with footage of her

being humiliated by a group of men.

The images were clear; what was said and done was unmistakable.

Dylan, who had doted on Judith for years without any limit, dropped his phone in shock at the sight ofnovelbin

the video. He shot up from his chair, his face drained of all color.

At that moment, he and Fitch had just arrived in Crystalbrook Valley two days prior, and Fitch’s men

were meticulously carrying out their investigation. But Dylan, as if struck by lightning, jumped into his

car.

Fitch stood outside with a frosty tone, “Where are you headed, Mr. Sanders?”

Dylan had no time to think, “I need to make a trip back to North America, got some urgent business.”

Fitch didn’t stop him; he had an inkling it had to do with Judith, who had been calling nonstop, begging

for help.

Dylan floored the accelerator and even made a call to Beck, “Go check on Judith!”

At that moment, Beck was at the Sanders family estate taking care of Augus.

Since learning that Jolin was his daughter, Augus had been shattered, bedridden with illness. Now, with

others who resented the Sanders family making their moves, Beck was overwhelmed.

In such times, how could he have any energy left to search for Judith?

“I can’t do it.”

“Beck!”

“Dylan!”

It was the first time Beck had addressed his brother in this serious tone, “Dad's sick; it’s his heart,

beyond what doctors can fix. His hair has turned white. You expect me to go after Judith now? Hasn’t

our family suffered enough because of her? What sweet nothings has she whispered to you this time?”

Dylan's fingers trembled.

“This is different, I have to save her. Judith...she's been…” He paused, his voice choked with emotion.

Beck had no sympathy left for Judith; he just wanted the truth to come out and for his father to get

better. A family that once seemed unbreakable was now falling apart.

“Beck, we’ve watched Judith grow up. Her current predicament’s all because of Maja. I should have

dealt with Maja back then; Maja and Ian, how could they be so heartless!”

Dylan’s eyes glowed with rage, his chest heaving with anger; Beck merely wiped his father Augus's

forehead with a cloth.

Augus kept muttering the same phrases.

“Cynthia, I’m sorry.”

“Cynthia, the kid.”

“My daughter.”

The matters of love are always the most painful. Beck was used to seeing his father’s stern and distant

demeanor, but this overnight aging was new to him.

Cynthia? Wasn’t his mother the love of his father’s life? What other secrets lay buried?

Beck’s thoughts were interrupted by Dylan’s voice.

“I’ll be back in North America soon. Maja will pay for what she’s done this time. If you won't go after

Judith, I'll do it myself!”
