Chapter 1256
Tyler was momentarily stumped, feeling a sense of unease but unsure of its origin.
He helplessly watched as Ian left the room.
He turned to Fitch, who was still seated on the couch.
"Fitch, why do I get the impression that Ian seems fine? Has he finally seen Maja's true colors and
decided to focus on his career?"
Fitch didn't reply. He just lowered his gaze and looked at the chess game in front of him.
Ian arrived at the Raymond Corporation, with all the top executives watching him. He handed his
finished paperwork to Jeff and promptly arranged a meeting with the upper management.
Patrick was absent from the meeting today. He had been busy taking care of Maja.
Ian sat at the head of the table, casually spinning his pen while listening to the executives' reports.
The atmosphere was tense, as the executives were all worried. They had seen their CEO being
supported out of the building that morning and now he was back, seemingly fine. But no one dared to
speak up, fearing they would become the target of his anger.
However, although Ian was a bit cold during the meeting, his suggestions were still sharp and insightful.
He criticized a few executives before putting down his pen.
"Meeting adjourned. I want a detailed report on Dylan's recent actions from the business department."
With that, he was the first to stand up and leave.
The others remained seated, not daring to move.
It wasn't until the conference room door closed that everyone let out a sigh of relief. It was as if they
had been saved from a near-death experience.
Everyone exchanged glances before hastily instructing the business department to come up with a
plan.
Ian returned to his office and continued to sort out the stacked paperwork.
Jeff stood by him quietly, helping with the sorting but not daring to ask anything else.
He suspected that Ian might use work to numb himself.
Before meeting Ms. Pennyfeather, Ian was already a workaholic. Now, it seemed like he was just
reverting to his old ways.
Meanwhile, the gossip about the two brothers was escalating.
[Did you hear that? Maja showed up at Raymond Corporation. She's been dating Eric this whole time.]
[Poor Ian, he was nearly going crazy looking for her, while she and Eric were having a good time.]
[It seems like Ian has come to his senses, realizing that she's not worth it.]

The public's disdain for Maja was growing. Meanwhile, Judith, who was still in the hospital, had also
heard these rumors.
Since regaining consciousness, she had been coaxing Wind to keep her secret.
As a reward for Wind, she would willingly kiss him once a day.
Wind believed they were now in a relationship, but deep down Judith still looked down on his status.
Upon hearing the rumors about Eric and Ian fighting over Maja, she became furious.

She took a deep breath, quickly formulating a plan in her mind.
When Wind brought her dinner, she grabbed his sleeve and acted coy.
"Wind, I'm so bored staying in the hospital all day. Can you take me out for a while? We haven't been
out since we started dating. Will you protect me?"
Wind's heart softened and he immediately agreed.
"Miss Sanders, where would you like to go?"
"Wind, is it true that Maja has left Ian? If so, who is she living with now?"
"With Eric. Apparently, she chose Eric."
A gleam of excitement flashed in Judith's eyes, "Then let's visit Eric tonight. He's working with mynovelbin
brother, right? Let's go see him."
Wind hesitated, but Judith quickly wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Wind, please. I really want to see for myself. Plus, last time I almost killed Maja. I don't believe she
could've recovered so quickly. I want to see if she's become stupid. You know how much I hate her. I
want to mock her in person."
Judith never hid her malice towards Maja.
This made Wind believe that she was innocent. She was too innocent to hide her true feelings.
"Alright, I agree. Mr. Sanders does have a business relationship with Eric. If we visit, Eric will definitely
welcome us."
Wind immediately took Judith to Patrick's villa.
However, Patrick had already left for the Raymond Corporation after hearing that Ian was holding a
meeting there, so he wasn't there to greet them.
However, the security guards recognized Wind and Judith.
They entered the bedroom, with Judith claiming she wanted to see Maja.
Wind discussed with the two bodyguards guarding Maja's room, asking them to go downstairs
temporarily.

He called Patrick in front of the bodyguards.
