Chapter 1245

Just five minutes ago, Maja had left this place, she couldn't dare to stay in one place for too long. It

seemed like Mr. K was very familiar with this area and would soon know her whereabouts from the

surveillance cameras.

She moved to a different location, now hidden behind the curtains at the end of the hallway.

Her heart was pounding incessantly, with one thought in mind. She just had to hold on for twenty more

minutes.

If she died, she wouldn't be Ian's weakness anymore. She wouldn't be his burden.

Going forward, he would still be the powerful CEO of the Raymond Corporation, the golden boy of

society.

She took a few steps forward, and bumped into a woman.

The woman was none other than Coral, who had recently collaborated with Star Movie Group.

Maja had previously invested in Coral's script, and now Coral was still her partner.

It wasn't until Coral spoke that she recognized her voice.

Someone was calling from the side, "Coral, we're agreed on this matter then."

"Alright, don't worry. The detail you added to the script is good, I'll take it."

Maja grabbed Coral's arm.

Coral looked surprised, then heard her say, "Take me away."

A flash of shock passed through Coral's eyes, she carefully looked at the woman in front of her, noting

her disguise, then silently looked around, chose a blind spot of the surveillance cameras and helped

her into her car.

Having been in the entertainment circle for so many years, Coral was very smart. Seeing Maja's

disguise, she knew she was in trouble.

The rumors in the circle recently, she had heard them all, Ian searching for Maja was no secret.

Once in the car, the door closed, she asked.

"Maja, what's going on?"

Maja estimated that it had been fifteen minutes now. She was still on edge, only now did she slightly

relax, but she was still afraid of being taken back.

"Ian has been looking for you, causing a lot of chaos in Greenfield. He's at BlueSky Bar tonight. I'll call

him right away."

"No."

When Maja said this, she felt a sharp pain in her chest.

Only five minutes left, the drug was starting to take effect, she felt pain all over, like being pricked by

millions of needles.

Her face turned pale, her hands gripping tightly on the window.

"Maja?"

Coral called again, hearing her hoarse voice.

"No, don't tell Ian. Take me to a quiet place. I don't have much time left."

She was in so much pain that she couldn't even speak, sweat pouring down like rain.novelbin

The veins on the back of her hand were protruding, her mouth tasted like blood.

Coral was about to ask more, when someone knocked on her window.

Outside stood several unfamiliar men, and she instinctively wanted to step on the gas.

But the window was smashed by a fist. A masked man forcefully opened Maja's mouth, trying to feed

her something.

Maja clenched her teeth, refusing to let his thing into her mouth.

In the end, the man dislocated her jaw in his hurry and forced the drug down her throat.

Through the rear-view mirror, Coral watched this terrifying scene unfold. She didn't dare to move, a gun

was pointed at the back of her head.

The drug quickly dissolved in Maja's mouth. She tasted the bitterness on her tongue, pain making her

eyes bloodshot.

The man coldly watched her, then twisted her jaw back in place.

She instinctively wanted to vomit, but the man held her jaw high.

"Don't test my patience."

He usually spoke gently, seemed patient, but this time he was ruthless. It was clear he was truly angry.

His entire body radiated cold, as if he could freeze someone.

"Maja, you will pay for your actions today."

Maja stared at him with empty eyes.

Actually, she couldn't see anything, everything in front of her eyes was dark.

The man dragged her out of the car, hearing someone reminding him from behind.

"Sir, Ian's people are investigating the surveillance everywhere."

The man's face turned even colder, he didn't expect that even after disguising Maja so thoroughly, Ian

could still sense something was wrong.

How much he must love her!

He pressed his lips together, quickly got into another car.

The gun at the back of Coral's head was also withdrawn in an instant, someone warned her coldly.

"If you dare to reveal tonight's events to anyone, your brilliant younger brother won't be able to take his

exam. He'll become a vegetable."

Coral's hands tightly gripped the steering wheel, she believed these people could do it.

Just now, that leading man had dislocated Maja's jaw so easily, and Maja had been so tough. She

hadn't uttered a sound.

Coral's fingertips were shaking. It wasn't until these people had all left, that she realized her palms

were sweaty.

If it weren't for the broken car window reminding her of what just happened, she would really doubt her

own perception.

She drove home with a pale face, feeling cold all over.

Originally, she wanted to go back to BlueSky Bar and tell Ian about this, but the threat of those people

was still in her ears, she dared not.

She was afraid Barton would really become a vegetable.

She didn't dare to gamble, she could only pretend she hadn't seen anything.
