Chapter 1223

Dylan's pupils contracted, his entire being radiating menace.

"Ian!!"

Ian's expression was eerily calm, his voice cold to the point of indifference.

"Think carefully before you answer. I told you, I've got no patience, if Maja is dead, none of you will live

to see another day."

The moment these words left his lips, the place fell into an eerie silence.novelbin

A couple of vehicles screeched to a halt behind Ian's car, out of which stepped Fitch, Beck, and a

handful of professionally trained bodyguards.

Fitch, taking in the scene before him, hurried to defuse the situation, "Ian, cool your jets."

But Ian was past listening to anyone, his gaze fixed on Judith.

"Where's Maja?"

Dylan was getting anxious. Anyone else spouting such madness might be joking, but if it was Ian, he

was deadly serious.

If Maja was dead, no one present would be left breathing.

Ian seemed to have lost his mind.

"Judith, tell him where Maja is. Stop messing around. Nobody can save you if you don't tell him."

Judith's shoulders had been shot through—bullet holes on each side. The pain was so intense she

wanted to scream.

But the dark barrel of a gun was aimed at her temple, as if she would be shot dead for uttering one

more nonsense.

"Dylan, save me! Beck. I don't want to die, I don't want to die!"

Dylan took a deep breath, trying to calm her down, "Did you take Maja?"

Judith couldn't hide the truth anymore, her trembling finger pointing towards a nearby location.

"She's in the basement, she's in the basement. Don't kill me, please don't kill me!"

Seeing her like this, Dylan felt a pang of discomfort and a flicker of hatred swam in his eyes.

He was going to make Ian pay.

Ian didn't let her off. Instead, he grabbed her by the collar and dragged her towards the direction she

had pointed.

In all her life, Judith had never been treated like this. Her clothes was scuffed on the ground, which

cause her much pain.

"It hurts, it hurts. Let me go, let me go!"

Dylan followed, his expression getting ghostly darker.

Beck and Fitch rushed over, fearing something serious might happen tonight.

Ian reached the entrance of the basement. After a heavy rain, the blood stains on the grass had

disappeared, but those inside on the stairs remained, a shocking sight.

Ian felt stiff all over, those blood stains searing his eyes.

He grabbed Judith and shoved her down the stairs.

"Ahh!"

Judith screamed as she tumbled down.

Dylan, furious, pulled out his gun, aiming to shoot Ian.

Beck quickly tried to stop him.

"Dylan, you need to chill."

Dylan pushed him away.

"Chill? And watch as Judith gets killed?"

But Ian seemed oblivious to their conversation. He strode down the stairs.

There was no sign of Maja. She was nowhere to be found.

Scattered blood stains were everywhere. Just the thought that this was Maja's blood made him want to

kill Judith right then and there.

Judith, still conscious, huddled in fear.

She was crying, but her terror was so great that even her sobs were shaking.

Ian grabbed her collar again, dragging her up the stairs.

In his eyes, Judith was not a person, but a lifeless object.

Dylan breathed furiously, pulling the trigger.

But the bullet landed on Judith's thigh.

Ian had gone so far as to use Judith as a human shield.

Judith screamed again and this time, passed out completely.
