Chapter 1205

"It's not what you think, come back with me."

Ian stayed put, his back to her, his tone heavy.

"No, I'll stay here, don't want to be a bother."

Maja got up, pretending to be angry.

"If you keep this up, I'm leaving."

The corner of Ian's eyes instantly fell on her as she began to walk away. He hastily got up.

But he didn't chase after her, just stood there, like a convict awaiting his sentence.

Maja sighed, "Take my hand, I'll walk you home."

Only then did he look at her directly and removed his shoes.

"Maja, wear these."

Even in his drunken state, he remembered she was barefoot.

Maja felt a pang in her heart, unsure of what to do with Ian.

If Patric vividly describes the events of that night to him, she'd feel too embarrassed to face him.

"I can't, your shoes are too big."

He put them back on, crouched slightly, "Then, should I carry you? Like when we went hiking that day."

One of the few sweet memories they shared.

"You're drunk. You can't even walk straight, let alone carry me."

She held onto his arm, "Ian, I'll help you walk."

"No, you're not wearing shoes."

He took out his phone, surprisingly coherent enough to call Jeff and ask him to bring a pair of women's

shoes.

Finally, he added.

"Maja's size."

Maja looked at him curiously, He didn't seem drunk anymore.

But as soon as he hung up, the phone slipped from his hand and fell with a thud.

She picked up the phone, and before she could even stand up straight, he pulled her into his lap.

He took a napkin from the table and began cleaning her feet.

Maja was a bit embarrassed but didn't resist.

After finishing, he tossed the napkin into the trash, wrapped his arm around her waist, and leaned

against her, falling asleep.

When Ian was drunk, he rarely caused a ruckus. He was mostly quiet.

Maja was touched and didn't move, letting him hold her.

Jeff arrived about forty minutes later, placing the new shoes in front of her.

"Thank you."

She said, helping Jeff get Ian into the car.

Jeff went to the driver's seat.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, to Rosewood Manor or Greenfield Gardens?"

Before Maja could answer, Ian blurted out.

"Maja, can you not go back to Rosewood Manor? Let's live together, I want to be with you all the time."

He wouldn't say such things when he was sober.

She had noticed his restlessness the past few days. He didn't tell anyone, but Maja sensed it.

She wasn't growing up with Ian, so she didn't know the extent of the shadows Eric had left on him,

making him feel like wherever Eric was, he was always second choice.

She stared at his face, making him nervous and start to stutter.novelbin

"C-can't we?"

"We can."

She replied firmly, smiling at him, "Then let's go back to Rosewood Manor first. I'll get the documents I

need, and also bring Rocky and Coco over, okay?"

Ian's eyes brightened, he kissed her hand gently.

"Okay."

While the driver, Jeff, was still in disbelief.

Ms. Pennyfeather agreed to live with Mr. Raymond!

He got excited, stepped heavily on the gas, and drove towards Rosewood Manor.

When they stopped at Rosewood Manor, Ian had already fallen asleep, his eyelashes resting

peacefully, lacking the sharpness he had when awake.

Jeff got out of the car, respectfully said to Maja, "Ms. Pennyfeather, is there anything else you need to

take? I can help."

"It’s okay. Just some documents, as for clothes, there are some at Greenfield Gardens. Just move

Rocky and Coco over."

"Okay, okay."

Jeff's cheeks turned red with excitement. He thought for a moment and decided to speak for Ian.

"Mr. Raymond is just stubborn. He really loves you. I don't know much about his past, but lately, he's

been having sleepless nights. If you're not with him, he'll definitely be upset. He must have thought

about living together thousands of times, just never dared to say it."

Maja laughed lightly, sighed.

"That's why I said, he's always like this, always knows how to soften people's hearts."
