Maja was seated in her office when the intercom buzzed.
"Ms. Pennyfeather, there's a lady named Antonia here to see you."
"Don’t let her in."
Her tone didn't waver as she hung up, turning her attention back to the feedback pouring in online.
Antonia was in complete panic, regretting not keeping her promise. She clung to the receptionist’s hand
as if it was her last lifeline.
"Please go upstairs and find Maja. I need to talk to her urgently!"
Her frantic state alarmed the receptionist who promptly called security to escort her out.
Antonia stood outside the grand building of the Star Movie Group, her heart filled with resentment
towards Maja.
It was all because of Maja that she was being castigated by so many people.
Unwilling to accept this, she continued to slander Shawn on Twitter.
However, this time, the netizens were not on her side. They all thought she was insane.
Even Peter called to interrogate her.
"Did you offend someone? Daisy's tweet has been boosted to trending, and I can't even pay to get it

"How good are you! Our daughter turned out this way because you cheated!"

Antonia panicked totally. She had always believed that Peter, being a celebrity, wouldn't dare divorce
her for fear of tarnishing his reputation.

But Peter didn't want to hear any of it and hung up.

Peter promptly booked a flight to leave the country, never to return.
He had enough savings for him and his daughter to live comfortably abroad.

wronged.

Looking at Maja seated in front of him, he felt a surge of emotions.
Maja, however, just pushed a file toward him.
"Take this as a lesson. The company is on the rise and many are watching us."
"I'm sorry, Ms. Pennyfeather. I was careless."
Maja looked exhausted, rubbing between her eyebrows, "Get back to the set."
As Shawn slowly walked over and raised his hand to massage her shoulder, she dodged him.
He quickly withdrew his hand, putting it behind him, his fingers curling awkwardly.
"Ms. Pennyfeather, I saw that you look tired, and I…"
Maja, always oblivious to others' affections towards her, shook her head.
"Just haven't been sleeping well these days."
"How are you and Mr. Raymond?"
As Shawn asked, his hand hidden behind his back clenched into a fist, and his heart pounded.
"We're fine."
Her words dimmed the light in his eyes.
"I see."
When Zoey walked in, she saw Shawn standing next to Maja, a look of disappointment on his face.
Seeing someone entering, he quickly composed himself.
"I'll go with my agent now. Filming was delayed these few days, so we'll pull an all-nighter for the whole
week."
Maja gestured for him to leave.
Zoey quickly put the file on the desk and followed Shawn out.
Both of them walked to the corridor's corner when she couldn't help but remind him.
"You're too obvious with your feelings for Ms. Pennyfeather. Better to hide it."
Shawn froze, his eyes reddening with embarrassment as he placed his right hand on his left wrist.
He had countless fans on Twitter, a popular celebrity who attracted a lot of attention, but in the
company, in front of Maja, he was nothing.
Eyes downcast, his voice trembled slightly.
"How do I hide it?"
Zoey's eyebrows furrowed, maintaining her professional demeanor.
"At least don't let others see that you like Ms. Pennyfeather. You can't bring her trouble."
"What about Ian Raymond? Hasn't he caused trouble for Ms. Pennyfeather?"
Shawn was reluctant to accept this. Just because he wasn't a CEO or didn’t have power, he could only
steal glances at her from the dark?
Zoey fell silent as she too didn't quite approve of Ian and Ms. Pennyfeather's relationship.
