Chapter 1177

Antonia had already stood up, her gaze on Maja filled with a fearless defiance.

"Maja, I've laid my cards on the table. The ball's in your court."

This was a threat.

Maja said nothing until Antonia left. Only then did she lift her coffee cup, taking a sip.

Those who were in abject desperation always were capable of doing anything outrageous . If Antonia's

matter wasn't handled properly, the company would be influenced by her in the foreseeable future.

A mocking smile appeared in her eyes. She did feel sorry for Antonia, who had given up her career to

take care of her sick child at home, only for her husband to sire a healthy son with another woman.

Anybody would crumble under such circumstances.

But Antonia directed all her anger at the outside world, never daring to openly criticize her husband in

front of others.

Deep down, she was still hoping for him to come back. Otherwise, she could have ruined him by

herself. Why take such a roundabout path?

But she didn't do that. Instead, she chose to drag others down to fulfill her so-called love.

Her love-struck mind was beyond salvation.

When Maja saw the red string on Antonia's wrist, she knew that even if she helped ruin Antonia’s

husband, Antonia wouldn't be happy. She would think Maja had destroyed her husband.

If she truly hated that man, she wouldn't have kept the red string on her wrist for so long.

Maja massaged between her eyebrows. This was going to be troublesome.

After leaving, Antonia immediately called Linda.

Upon seeing the incoming call, Linda sneered and answered.

"Did you hang up on me earlier. You don't want the money anymore?"

Antonia's face was a mix of embarrassment, and at the same time, she resented Maja.

Maja's aloof attitude was unbearable. Both Linda and Maja looked down on her. If that's the case, then

to hell with them all!

Her eyes were filled with venom, but her words were weak.

"Miss Linda, I made a mistake. I almost fell for Maja's tricks. She's exactly as you described, a

disgusting woman."

Linda's eyes sparkled with triumph. "Did you get any information? Is Maja really in love with Ian

Raymond?"

"She is. She's so in love with him that she'd die for him. Ha, how is she any better than me? She also

can't resist a good-looking man!"

Antonia harshly belittled Maja. She was irritated by Maja's calm demeanor, making her feel stupid for

causing such a scene over a man.

But she loved that man. Even though he had cheated on her, even though he had ignored her and their

daughter for years, even though he gave her only a small piece of gold jewelry worth less than a

hundred dollars during their nine years of marriage, while he lavished his mistress with gifts worth

millions.

Antonia felt she had done nothing wrong. She wasn't a gold digger. Her husband had no reason not to

love her. She loved him deeply, and she still wore the bracelet he gave her nine years ago. He would

break up with his mistress sooner or later.

She was almost schizophrenic. On one hand, she hoped that Maja would ruin that man. But on the

other hand, she worried about what would happen if he still didn't love her after being ruined.

Then she came up with a plan--to get Linda's money.

Linda offered her a million dollars. Once her husband's business was destroyed, he would be claimed

for compensation by many partners. He wouldn't have any money left, and then he would come back to

her.

The one who loved him the most was always her.

So she was submissive to Linda, and she pretended to hate the man in front of Maja. In fact, she was

doing everything for herself.

After all, she had already put her autistic daughter in the front line. What kind of good person could she

be?

Linda, on the other end of the phone, was cursing foully.

"You're a bitch and so is Maja. The two of you together, it's a whole new level of sleaze. You better

keep an eye on her, record any slip-ups in her speech. Once we put it online, nobody can save her."

"I'll keep it in mind, Linda."

Linda snorted with satisfaction, her heart filled with smugness.

After hanging up, she turned to the group in front of her and declared, "Maja won't bounce back this

time. I can take her down all by myself!"novelbin

"Linda, let's get it done sooner so we can visit Judith at the hospital."

"Judith's back in the hospital? Dylan's worried sick."

"Maja deserves to die, just like her jailbird parents and that good-for-nothing brother of hers. They're

just a waste of space!"

Upon hearing Dylan's name, Linda blushed.

She would marry Dylan sooner or later.
