Ian could never have anticipated that even if he remained silent, Maja would still be targeted, as it was
a requirement that Judith had made of Dylan from the very beginning.
So when Maja's phone was finally reachable, employees from Star Movie Group bombarded her with a
dozen calls, all related to the company's new projects.
"Ms. Pennyfeather," one of the employees began, "Didn't we previously take over most of Simstar
Entertainment's resources? But there's a rumor that a new company has purchased Simstar
Entertainment and has offered several advantageous proposals to our partners. All of the companies
that were originally going to collaborate with us have returned to Simstar Entertainment. It's as if the
management of Simstar Entertainment has entirely changed, everything but the name."
Star Movie Group, though it had already swallowed quite a bit, was being stood up by its biggest
collaborators because of new capital injection into Simstar Entertainment. It was not surprising that
these profit-chasers would return to Simstar Entertainment.
Maja abruptly stood up, feeling a wave of dizziness.
"Do we know which family the capital that purchased Simstar Entertainment came from?" she asked.
"It seems to be the Sanders family."

Star Movie Group was a small fish in a big pond.

Maja frowned, was the Sanders family doing this to suppress her because of Judith?
She asked Zoey, "How many collaborations have we secured so far?"
"We were supposed to have half, but with the interference of the capital backing Simstar Entertainment,
the biggest companies have all run back to them. We're back down to a quarter, and everyone in the
company has been working around the clock for a week because of these big projects."
Everyone was frustrated at being stood up like this.
Maja took a deep breath, knowing that this was very likely Dylan's doing. His methods were swift and
decisive, just as Ian's were.
Beck was slightly nicer to her, but he undoubtedly leaned towards his younger sister.
"Zoey, I'm coming to the office soon. Prepare the documents I need to review."
"Of course, Mr. Pennyfeather."
Maja quickly changed her clothes and drove off.
Upon arriving at the underground parking lot of Star Movie Group, she just got out of the car when she
saw a man getting out of another car.
She didn't pay him much attention and waited for the elevator.
Just as the elevator was about to arrive, the man suddenly pulled out a knife and lunged at her.
Maja quickly dodged to the side, but the man was too skilled. His knife curved in mid-air and aimed at
her chest, aiming for a lethal blow.
Maja didn't hesitate to fall back, avoiding the fatal blow, but the man's second strike was aimed at her
throat.
Seeing that she couldn't dodge, she grabbed a nearby gasoline can and splashed it towards the man.
The man kicked out, splattering the gasoline over both of them.
Maja took out a lighter, not hesitating to look at him.
"If you attack me again, we will both die."
The man froze, unable to believe that a woman like Maja was so ruthless and decisive, even
considering a mutual destruction strategy.

The knife that was about to slit Maja's throat stopped. He glared at her, and for some reason, he saw
