Chapter 1099

She returned to the hospital room, abruptly questioning Wind.

"Where did Maja's parents go after the incident they caused?"

"Miss, they were sent back to Crystalbrook Valley."

"Wind, I order you to bring them to Greenfield by dawn tomorrow. Remember to avoid attracting any

attention."

Wind's face showed confusion, unsure of what she was planning.

"You don't need to worry, and I have it under control."

Wind had no choice but to nod and immediately set off to Crystalbrook Valley.

Meanwhile, Judith lay in bed, joining the chat groups of the Greenfield community.

As soon as she appeared, those who were at the cliffside incident began asking about her health.

She felt like the center of attention, and a smile tugged at her lips.

[Thank you all for your concern. I'm feeling much better now, and Ian just came to see me.]

She was injured, for Ian's sake, and he certainly would visit.

The chat group became lively in an instant.

[Maja should get lost after causing such a scene, right?]

[Ian surely won't forgive her this time.]

[I've been fed up with her for a while, always acting so high and mighty. My boyfriend even

complimented her looks once, which made me furious. She's nothing but a flirtatious vixen.]

Judith read these messages, feeling very pleased.

She took a deep breath and sent another message to Wind, insisting that he bring Maja's parents to

Greenfield.

Then she got up, dragging her still-recovering body, and went straight to the Raymond Corporation.

Ian had already returned to work overtime in his office. Seeing her arrive, a frown creased his forehead.

Judith had dinner prepared and smiled palely at him.

"Ian, I've brought you dinner."

Since he said he would consider it, she must press the advantage.

Ian remained silent, looking at the pile of documents in front of him. Only by numbing his brain could he

stop thinking about Maja.

When the office became quiet, he recalled the investigation about the man related to Maja. The name

turned out to be a pseudonym, Patric. At that time, he felt sorry for Maja, thinking she had been

deceived.

But now he realized how similar Eric and Patric were, and he had been oblivious like a fool.

A fire roared in his chest, and all the details he desperately wanted to forget flooded back.

Like the marks on her body during the days she disappeared, the marks of her first love, his own

brother, Eric!

Did the brothers share a woman?

And the marks on her body were likely voluntary. She deliberately deceived him to touch his sympathy.

Ian slowly closed his eyes, tasting a metallic tang in his mouth.

No wonder he couldn't find anyone named Patric. It was Eric.

He wanted to laugh, but he spat out blood when he opened his mouth.

Judith was taken aback, dropping the food box she was holding.

"Ian!"

She called out, quickly moving to his side.

Ian's slender hand gripped the edge of the desk, his lips pressed tightly together.

Judith quickly grabbed a tissue from the side, gently wiping his mouth.novelbin

Knowing that his current distress was because of Maja, Judith felt insanely jealous.

But she had to endure. Until she had this man, she had to place herself in a humble position.

So when he was hurt by Maja to the point of no return, he would see understanding her waiting here

when he looked back.

He would start to feel something, and that would be the beginning of their love.

Judith held it together, her eyes full of concern.

"Ian, if it were me with you, I wouldn't let you suffer like that."

Her words were a roundabout way of criticizing Maja for not knowing how good she had it, causing so

much trouble with such a wonderful man like him.
