Maja heard him answer the phone, but she didn’t give enough thought to its meaning. She turned tolook out the window, her heart filled with worry for Holden, However, lan drove her back to Star MovieGroup, cautioning her in the process, “You need to take care of your company affairs. The Raymondfamily is going to be a bit busy.”
He was clearly referring to the matters of Dennis and his cronies.
Unable to help him out with that problem, Maja could only nod in agreement.
With a heavy heart, Maja entered the company building while lan received a message from Dennis,asking him to come to Raymond Corporation.
So, lan hit the accelerator to reach there as fast as possible.
On arrival at Raymond Tower, he directly headed to the top floor.
The atmosphere at the top was a bit eerie, as Dennis had been dealing with various documents lately.The top executives, having not seen lan for a while, wanted to say something but didn’t dare to utter aword as Dennis and his gang had just entered the conference room. Everyone expected a big event atRaymond Corporation that day.
Standing aloof in the center of the lobby, lan scanned the crowd with a gloomy gaze before stridingtowards the conference room.
Upon opening the door, he’saw Dennis sitting in the main seat by the floor–to–ceiling window, a seatthat used to be lan’s. And at that time, Dennis sat there unabashedly with none of his top executivesstopping him on his tracks.
The executives who had always trusted lan had suffered in his absence. Seeing him at that point, theyfelt a sense of relief and stood up.
“Mr. Raymond, we’re glad you’re finally here.”
“Mr. Raymond, are you feeling okay?”
Two–thirds of the executives who stood up were still loyal to lan, while the remaining third hadobviously switched to Dennis’s camp.
