Chapter 925

When Jeff wheeled lan Raymond off, he didn’t dare ask a single question along the way.

It wasn’t until they got to the parking lot that he opened the car door, originally intending to ask whetherthey were heading back to Rosewood Manor or Greenfield Gardens, but he noticed lan was deep inthought, with his head bowed down.

Perhaps it was too dark, but he spotted a droplet on lan’s shirt that resembled a tear.

“Boss, are we heading back to Greenfield Gardens?” he asked.

lan nodded.

There was a rack by the car specifically designed to hoist the wheelchair up.

Jeff got into the driver’s seat,

When lan left the hospital, he had already handled his discharge procedures, informing the doctors hewould be recuperating at home with a professional doctor on call. The hospital didn’t comment further, only reminding him to strictly follow his medical advice.

Back at Rosewood Manor, lan suddenly posed a question.

“Look into why Maja rammed her car into the gates of Greenfield Gardens.”

Jeff had always thought lan would cut ties with Maja completely, yet he seemed to still care about her.

He quickly nodded.

lan took the elevator to the second floor.

He needed a shower, but he didn’t like to be touched by neither men nor women, he couldn’t bearanyone helping him clean his body.

Unless it was Maja.

But obviously, Maja wasn’t going to come now.novelbin

He had no choice but to go into the bathroom and slowly stand up by leaning on the vanity.

His physical condition was far from ideal, after that one round, he felt a bit weak, even a bit dizzy.

The doctor had mentioned that his head injury was quite serious.

lan took a glance at himself in the mirror.

He looked pale, with a gloomy expression, appearing somewhat weak.

After drying off, he changed into the nightgown next to him.

When he was back in his wheelchair, Jeff brought him some news.

“Boss, I found out that Darlene had poisoned Miss Penny’s food, but the poison was accidentally eatenby Elvis, who was hospitalized and saved just in time. Darlene tried to contact you, but you didn’t pickup the phone. Tyler helped her get out of the police station by then, and Miss Penny had already calledthe cops. Without Tyler’s help, Darlene might have ended up in jail since she’s suspected of attemptedmurder.”

lan immediately called Tyler.

“Why did you help Darlene?” he asked.

Tyler didn’t expect lan to question him after so long.

“I just didn’t want you to get dragged into Darlene’s scheme, so I handled the situation.”

lan took a deep breath. “Don’t think I don’t know you had a hand in this; do you think Maja doesn’tdislike me enough?”

Tyler squinted his eyes, sounding a bit displeased.

“Alright, alright, I admit my mistake. I only helped her unintentionally. If you don’t like it, I won’t do itagain.”

“Go apologize to Maja.”

Although lan’s tone was calm, it was filled with determination.

They’ve known each other for so many years that they understood each other’s character very well.

Tyler may seem carefree on the surface, always smiling, but he definitely knew what Darlene had done. His “unintentional” help was obviously a lie.

He was deliberately causing trouble for Maja.

The smile on Tyler’s face faded as he said, “are you serious?”

“What do you think?”

“Did you not listen to anything I’ve said before? lan, I don’t care what you think of me; whether youthink I was deliberately creating trouble or interfering with your pursuit of the woman you love, overall, you should first take a good look at your current situation. For a woman, you gave up your position asthe president of the Raymond Corporation and almost lost your life.”

“You should mind your own business! I would sacrifice everything for her..”

That’s outrageous!

Tyler, who was smoking, dropped his cigarette upon hearing this.
