Chapter 868

Beck quickly stepped in front of Maj?, seeing several scattered lunch boxes on the ground. His faceturned sour.

“lan, did you ever think that this stuff could burn her face?”

lan slid a cigarette into his mouth and nonchalantly said, “Well, at least she won’t be flirting aroundanymore.”

His words were obviously intended to mock Beck.

Holy crap!

Beck felt an itch in his fist.

lan didn’t stay there long, and he didn’t even look at Maja, he just walked away.

Beck was so mad he wanted to chase after him, “Are you even a man? Bullying a woman, what kind ofman does that?!”

But Maja lifted her hand, grabbing his sleeve.

Beck felt extremely disappointed.

“Penny, let go. I’m going to teach him a lesson for you.”

Maja squatted down, starting to pick up the lunch boxes on the ground.

Beck felt a pang in his heart seeing this.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t expect him to show up at your company.”

Maja tossed the lunch boxes into a nearby trash can, and she seemed very calm.

Beck really couldn’t figure out what she was thinking, and any other woman would have probably burstinto tears by now. How could she be so calm?

“Penny.”

“Beck.”

They both spoke at the same time.

Maja wiped the soup on her chest with a napkin from a tea table nearby, and she had to change herclothes.

“Penny, you go ahead.”

“He was just venting.”

By he, she meant lan.

Maja called Zoey, asked her to prepare a change of clothes, and then looked at Beck.

He got angry because he heard what I said.”

But to Beck, it seemed like Maja was defending lan.

Even after all the nasty things lan had said, she could still forgive him. It appeared she really caredabout lan. Asking her to leave him seemed a bit cruel. But his sister, Ms. Sanders.

“Penny, my sister, Ms. Sanders, has deep feelings for him, I’m sorry.”

“No need to apologize, just remember to give me those three Hollywood spots. I’ll go choose the actorsnow. Considering my loss, you won’t be offering just any random roles, right?”

“Of course, as long as the people you pick have talent, I will make sure they shine in Hollywood.”

Maja breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at him, “Can we sign the contract within three days?”

*Sure.”

Even with the current situation, she was still calmly busy with her work.

Beck didn’t know what to say.

On the other hand.

After lan got on the elevator, he looked at his reflection in the mirror.

What a mess.

He threw the cigarette into a nearby trash can, thinking about how she had only hesitated for a minute. He found it rather amusing.

He finally experienced the pain of being disdained.

Once the elevator door opened, he got into his car, gripping the steering wheel tightly as if he wanted tocrush it.

At this moment, the general manager of the EcoTraverse Group called him, and his tone was veryrespectful.

“Mr. Raymond, Dennis has.contacted me again. What do you think?”

“Scram.”

“Alright, I’ll call you later.”

lan was feeling very agitated. He quickly loosened his tie and threw it onto the back seat.

Three Hollywood competition spots.

What a disaster.

He, lan, when did he ever suffer such humiliation?

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became.

He stayed in the car for half an hour, then Holden called and asked him to come home for dinner.novelbin

Dennis had been making big moves lately. It’s caught Holden’s attention, so he wanted to ask lan aboutthe situation.

“Is Maja coming with you?”

Hearing this, lan felt a surge of anger in his chest, as if he was about to explode.

“No.”

“Oh, I’ll just have the kitchen whip up something.”

Holden hung up the phone very quickly.

When lan arrived at the old house, he finally knew what “whip up something” meant.

When Maja was here, everything that flew in the sky, ran on the ground, and swam in the water was allserved on the dining table.

Tonight, only lan was there, and there was just a plate of pasta on the table, nothing else.
