Chapter 826

Maja sat quietly in the car, not uttering a word. Jeff was up front driving, with lan right by her side.

Their legs were pressed together, and he could even feel her body heat through the fabric of herclothing.

The lights in the car were dim, the passing streetlights casting intriguing shadows on her face.

This interplay of light and shadow was a distraction waiting to happen.

Ten minutes had passed from the moment they got in the car, and Maja had been glued to her phone, seemingly oblivious to lan’s presence. lan was initially miffed, then just felt helpless.

He saw Maja with one hand on her knee as if lost in thought.

She seemed a bit edgy, leaning back and closing her eyes,

Her right hand was clutching her phone, her left hand resting on her knee, eyebrows slightly furrowed, eyes shut tight. She looked so serene.

lan hesitated briefly, then slowly stretched out his hand to gently take hers.

Maja’s body stiffened noticeably. She opened her eyes, looking straight into his deep gaze.

Her heart started to race and she wanted to pull her hand away, but he held on tight.

Maja wasn’t good at handling this kind of ambiguous relationship. They had already spent a lot of timetogether, and lan was usually quite upfront about his intentions, never testing the waters like this.

She tried to pull her hand away, but he didn’t let go.

She tried again, but,lan was more resolute this time, his fingers interlocked tightly with hers.

The temperature inside the car seemed to rise along with the tension, and Maja started to feel hot, even breaking out in a sweat.

Maybe the stress from work was making her feel out of sorts. Looking at him now, under the shiftinglights and shadows, she felt like she saw a different person. This took her by surprise, but lan wasalready leaning in, resting his head in the crook of her neck.

Maja’s hand was held by his, her neck filled with his breath, and she felt warm.

“lan.”

Before she could finish her sentence, she felt a tickling sensation on her neck, a tingling numbness thatwas oddly addictive.

lan was right. Her body never lied.

She was almost twenty–four when they first got together. lan was so experienced that she couldn’tresist.

From the first time, he always left her in awe every time after that.

Even though she had her reservations, her body relished in pleasure every time he got close.

It was a physiological response, and she couldn’t control it.

“Stop it.”

She pushed his head away then heard him say, “You obviously like it when I do this.”

Yes, her body liked being treated this way. She couldn’t control her physiological responses, and nowoman could control these hormone–induced reactions.

lan’s slender finger slid down, coming out wet when he pulled it back up.

Maja felt incredibly embarrassed, momentarily forgetting about all her work troubles.

Her breathing quickened, anticipating his next move. But he only lightly touched her, then put his fingerin his mouth.novelbin

Maja couldn’t stand seeing his handsome, noble face doing something so lewd.

She had realized long ago that she couldn’t tolerate lan using his elegant, precious face to do suchvulgar things.

The contrast was too great, like a sledgehammer to her heart.

She quickly averted her gaze, cursing him, “Asshole.”

lan went quiet, seemingly having just teased her on a whim. Now he was the one engrossed in hisphone.

He seemed unaware of the effect his actions had on her body, the shock they caused her.

Now, he was busy working on his laptop, his slender fingers tapping away on the keyboard.

Maja tried her best not to look at him, but from the corner of her eye, she could see his slender wristadorned with a watch and those graceful fingers still typing

away.

Just thinking about where those hands had been.

She felt her body temperature rising, so she silently rolled down the window, letting the outside breezecome in.
