On the other side, lan returned to Greenfield Gardens but didn’t find Maja. He gave her a ring.
Maja had just left the dance floor and was standing at the entrance of the lounge, a quieter area.
“Mr. Raymond.”
“Where have you been?”
She initially wanted to say the bar, but worried lan would come, she made up an excuse.
“I’m working overtime.”
“Mind your rest.”
Both of them were tired from the day, and she was still slugging away. Could her body even take it?
‘Thanks for your concern, Mr. Raymond.”

Ever since the renovation of Greenfield Gardens was done, this was the first time Holden had visited.
“Grandpa.”
Holden looked around and nodded in satisfaction..
“Nice renovation job.”
lan didn’t respond. Instead, he had a servant bring over coffee.
Holden took a seat and let out a sigh.
Your aunt told me Connie has been sleep–talking all day. I asked her what she said, but she wouldn’tspill. Said we’d know when Connie woke up. lan, did you guys see anyone else when you were at thetower?”
lan’s heart skipped a beat. Had Connie mentioned something about Penny?
If Grandpa found out that Connie’s situation was related to Penny, he wouldn’t let her off the hook.
“No.”
“The higher–ups are already investigating the kidnappers‘ identities. They all snuck in illegally. There’sa lot of pressure at the border recently, plus some insiders are collaborating with them. Otherwise, theywouldn’t have had access to so many guns.”
lan quietly listened while his mind already elsewhere.
He lowered his head and saw a message from Tyler.
“Ran into Penny at the bar. She wants to see Beck.”
His blood boiled at the message.
He suppressed the turmoil in his eyes, but with Holden there, he had to keep his cool.
“lan?”
Holden called his name a few times. Seeing him lost in thought, he frowned, “What are you thinkingabout?”
lan lowered his head, “Grandpa. There are people specifically assigned to investigate this matter.”
“These people weren’t targeting your brother, they went to Crystalbrook Valley. What do you think theywere after?”
“I’m not sure.”
He said, but the image of Maja digging something up came to mind.
After leaving the tower, Maja rushed to dig. Did she know something?
If those people weren’t after Eric’s research, what were they after?
They took over a hundred hostages; Maja was one of them, and she was brought over from Greenfield.

Watching his retreating figure, Holden warned, “If you’re leaving over a woman, I’ll make sure youregret it.”
“Grandpa, I’m going to see Fitch. He caught a suspect but hasn’t gotten any valuable information yet.”
Hearing this, Holden finally let out a sigh of relief.
His favorite grandson couldn’t possibly lose his mind over a woman.
lan floored the gas pedal and headed straight for the bar.
At the bar, Maja had sketched out the jellyfish tattoo and was showing it to Beck.
“Mr. Beck, have you seen this before?”
Beck only took one glance and raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“BK?”
“Mr. Beck, you know them?”
“Just heard of them. They’re an assassination organization. But they haven’t been heard of since anincident many years ago.”
“What happened?”
Beck smiled, propping his chin with one hand, his face full of amusement as he looked at Maja.
“I don’t know about that, but I suggest you stop digging. About two decades ago, the tycoons in NorthAmerica were undergoing a reshuffle because BK assassinated the world’s richest family, wiping themoff the billionaire list. Because of this, BK has been wanted by police worldwide, and anyoneassociated with them won’t end well. They’re an extremely dangerous group.”
