Maja froze, utterly clueless about what to say
She lowered her eyes, mentally calculating the remaining time till her divorce, and still couldn’t find thewords.
“Mr. Raymond, give me a few days to think.”
Seeing Maja’s defenses soften, lan surprisingly cooled off.
Maja understood that if she kept resisting, he would only push harder.
He’d been in his position for so long, always the golden boy, there was no way he’d tum all soft andfluffy.

In front of him, Maja removed him from her blacklist.

lan originally had an important meeting tonight, but after seeing her message, he had Jeff cancel it.
“Are you leaving now?”

Jeff always had cologne ready for him, but he never used it.
It took him quite a while to get ready, it was past 5 PM. when he was finally ready. Maja even called.
“Mr. Raymond, are you free tonight?”
“I am, I’ll be there soon.”
There was a mirror in the bedroom, which he never looked into.
He tried on two suits but wasn’t satisfied with either.
