Chapter 536

lan was aware of the Sanders family, the earliest immigrants who rode the wave of the era to makefilms. They started from silent black and white films and now they’ve got every genre in their portfolio. They even host the world–famous Geska Award, which speaks volumes about their wealth andinfluence.

The Sanders clan has two sons, so the little princess has two big brothers.novelbin

These two brothers are like chalk and cheese. Ian only crossed paths with the older Sanders brotherduring his three years abroad, and he’s a pretty chill dude. As for the younger Sanders, word is he’s anotorious playboy in North America.

If news about the Sanders princess not being blood–related to the Sanders family got out, it would stirup a homet’s nest.

Being the big kahuna of the global film industry, the Sanders family and their HW group have a lot ofpeople’s interests in their hands. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have people out for their blood.

“So, I returned home early on Mr. Sanders‘ personal request, and besides, I finished my studies abroadearly and got my certificate,” said the man.

lan didn’t bat an eyelid. He couldn’t care less about other people’s family drama.

Phelps stood up.

“I heard from Tyler that the Raymond Corporation is planning to dip its toes in the film industry. It’sbound to cross paths with the Sanders family.”

He picked up his medical kit, “Besides doing my job well, my task now is to find out which hospital Mrs.Sanders gave birth in.”

On his way out, he turned to lan.

“If your designer needs a hand, send her straight to the hospital to see me.”

After the door shut, lan tossed the documents on his desk.

Ten minutes later, Carlene called him up about the city land deal.

“lan, the EverBest Group is going to bid for it tomorrow. How much do you reckon it’s worth?”

Just as lan was about to answer, there was a knock on the door. He frowned, got up to answer it, andfound it was Maja.

His eyes flickered at the sight of her and he promptly hung up on Carlene.

He took a quick look at Maja. Her hair still wet from a shower, hung softly over her shoulders and a fewstrands tucked behind her ears. When she wasn’t being a pain in the ass, she was pretty cute.

lan pulled her in, thinking she was late, “I’ll call Phelps and ask him to swing by again!

He took her hand and checked on it carefully.

“Mr. Raymond, my hand is fine. I came to ask for a favor.”

lan narrowed his eyes and led her to the couch.

“What’s up?”

“Ms. Shepard will probably ask you about the land.”

lan immediately clammed up, sensing about her intention.

Maja initially planned to ask Holden, but if she learned the truth about the land from Holden andCarlene learned it from lan, it would be pointless.

So, she came to check if lan would spill the beans to Carlene.

“Even if I don’t tell Carlene, can you make her take a hit on this? Penny, who else can you go to if notme?”

“We’ll see.”

The land’s worth about a billion. Previously, Carlene had tapped into the Shepard family company’scash flow. If the Shepard family wanted to use several billion in cash to buy this piece of land again, they’d likely face some difficulty. If they make a loss, the Shepard family would face a cash flowproblem in the short term. The lifeline of a business is its cash flow. The more abundant the cash flow, the greater the risk it can bear.

On the contrary, no matter how developed a business is, if there’s a cash flow shortage, it couldpotentially face the risk of bankruptcy at any time.

“Why should I help you?”

Maja looked at him with sincere eyes,“Don’t you always wanted to divorce your wife at home? If youback me on this, I can promise that when she divorces you, she won’t want any property or causeunnecessary trouble.”

lan never cared about his wife in name, but the Pennyfeather family had always been after their money. If it came to divorce, the Pennyfeather family would definitely want a big payday, and since Holdenfavored Maja, he might have to lose a few billion to get that woman out of his life.

Even though he didn’t care about the money, he’d rather give it to a beggar on the street than Maja.

Besides, he had signed an agreement with that woman, but she hadn’t mentioned specificcompensation yet, and there were bound to be problems later.

The Pennyfeathers were shameless.

He pulled her into his arms, stroking her, “Seems like you’ve made some good connections in your fewyears as a designer.

Maja didn’t struggle, she knew he had agreed.

“Penny, stay tonight.”

He held her, tilting his head to kiss her neck.
