lan was suddenly pissed off; he yanked Maja and shoved her into the car.
Maja’s back was already sore from being pressed against a tree the night before; even her voice was abit hoarse, and now, being bumped this way, she felt extremely uncomfortable.

Maja quietly looked at him, her tone filled with confusion.
“Mr. Raymond, why are you so mad?”

lan let go of her chin and started unbuttoning her clothes.

But before he could undo the first button, he saw the marks under her blouse.
Because of the dim light, he couldn’t see clearly, but the color was obviously a love bite.
His hand paused, then he grabbed her wrist and shoved her out.
“Get lost.”
Maja almost fell; if not for her quick reaction, she would have knelt on the ground.
Before she could catch her breath, she saw lan following her out of the car, but he had regained hisposh demeanor; he glanced at her like she was trash. “Did you sleep with Samuel?”
Maja immediately realized that he was talking about the marks on her neck.
The place he gripped was already red; he only saw a part of it, mistaking it for a love bite.
She found it amusing and couldn’t help but laugh.
lan got straight into the car and drove off.
Maja sat on the ground, and after a while, she felt strength in her legs.
She touched her neck and swallowed.
Returning to her car, she drove back to RosenGarden.
Then she received a call from Zoey.
“Mr. Pennyfeather, the shares bought by the other party have reached ten percent; they can attend theboard meeting tomorrow.”
With such a high shareholding, they could totally participate in the decision–making of the board.
If they keep buying, the whole Pennyfeather Group would become theirs.
“But it’s strange; they only bought up to ten percent and then stopped; it’s like they’re waiting forsomething.”
