Chapter 204

When Maja received the message, it was like a punch to the gut.

She gave a cold chuckle. It wasn’t hard to understand Tricia’s audaciousness, not with her fatherbacking her up.

Two days later.

Tricia was still camping out in front of lan’s hotel room. lan hadn’t left the room all day yesterday, onlyhis assistant came and went.

Tricia had been here since early morning. She figured it was a workday, so lan would definitely leavefor work.

Sure enough, just after seven, she saw him in a sleek black suit, Jeff trailing behind him. They left thepresidential suite and headed for the elevator. Just as the elevator doors were about to close, Triciarushed over and blocked them with her hand.

She had spent hours on her makeup this moming, waiting here all this time.

Now that she saw him, remembering last night’s encounter, she dared not be too assertive. She couldonly pretend to have bumped into him. “Mr. Raymond, are you heading to work too?”novelbin

The moment lan saw her, his expression turned serious. He’d never met anyone so shameless in hislife.

What on earth had blinded his grandfather to think this woman was sophisticated?

He felt rather annoyed.

Feeling the cold vibe emanating from him, Tricia dared not speak freely.

lan’s aura was incredibly intimidating, like the whole space was being suffocated.

Tricia’s face instantly turned pale. Despite her initial intention to approach him, she found herself at aloss for words.

Even when lan coldly got into his car, Tricia was too embarrassed to follow. She could only watchhelplessly as his car drove off. Meanwhile, lan sat in his car, his brows furrowed.

As the car passed by a crossroad, seeing a woman walking her dog on the side of the road made hismood slightly better.

Maja had gone to Rosewood Manor early in the morning to pick up Coco and take her out for some fun.

Now that the issue with her partner was resolved, she decided to go to Crystalbrook Valley to tackle theflooring issue tomorrow. She wondered if a month would be enough to handle it. She had missed Cocoduring their time apart.

Maja wanted to pat Coco’s head, but Coco seemed to have an lan–radar. The moment Coco detectedlan’s car, she wagged her tail and ran over.

Maja saw his car too. This was the route he took to work.

“Mr. Raymond.”

Before she could say anything more, Coco had already jumped up, excitedly sticking her head throughthe open window.

Maja quickly rushed over to grab the leash.

“Coco!”

Why did she always get so excited when she saw lan!

lan saw the few strands of dog hair that had fallen into the car and frowned.

However, he didn’t say anything.

It was strange. He was indeed allergic to dog hair. But this white dog always reminded him of a littledog he’d seen at the Raymond family’s before. But that was an unpleasant memory.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Raymond. I have no idea why my dog always gets so excited when she sees you.”

lan didn’t seem bothered by the few strands of dog hair. He asked her, “Have the issues with yourpartner been resolved?”

“They have been resolved.”

“Has my aunt bothered you again?”

“No, thank you. Mr. Raymond, I really owe you one this time. Should I treat you to a meal?”

lan looked pretty unhappy when he was leaving the hotel. But after a brief conversation with Maja, heseemed to have calmed down.

Her dog barked a few more times, her bright eyes staring at him, as if urging him to accept theinvitation.

lan laughed, “We’ll see.”
