Chapter 178

By doing this, lan had done his duty to Maja. He was somewhat reluctant to have any contact with her, because every time he encountered this person, they always caused unpleasant things.

Maja sat there, looking so docile due to her illness.

People milled around but no dne took the initiative to ask her if she needed help.

After seating her on a chair, lan returned to his car. As he opened the door, he noticed in the corner ofhis eye, a woman approaching Maja. This wasn’t a man, but a woman.

A woman he recognized, at that.

“You bitch! I finally found you!”

The woman seemed furious, raising her hand to push Maja.

Maja, with her blurry vision and lack of strength, was pushed back into the chair, wincing in pain.

Looking up, she recognized the woman who was always by Leo’s side:-The redhead with heavyeyeliner, her makeup so thick it was hard to make out her natural features.

“Where did you hide Leo?”

The woman complained loudly. She noticed that Maja seemed seriously ill, and scoffed before movingto grab her hair.

Maja was a bit slow to react and didn’t have a chance to dodge.

But the woman’s hand was stopped mid–air by someone. Looking up, she saw lan. Surprise flashed inher eyes, followed by a disdainful look.

“So, the rich guy is here too! I bet there are some shady dealings between you two!”novelbin

lan’s face turned cold as he squinted at her.

Feeling a bit uneasy, the woman wanted to continue insulting him, but it was as if something was stuckin her throat. She saw the luxury car parked in the distance and realized that she couldn’t afford tomess with this man.

“I’m looking for this woman. She’s hiding my man!”

Maja, still in a foggy state, heard this and leveraged the chair to stand.

“Your man? Leo isn’t even divorced. And he doesn’t work here. How could you fall for him?”

Maja wasn’t trying to put down Leo, just stating the facts.

Wasn’t Leo just hanging around this woman for a free meal?

Maja had never looked down on a man so much. He abandoned his wife and parents to become thelover of a female thug.

This was completely against Maja’s moral code and she made no attempt to hide her sarcasm.

When the woman heard that Leo had a wife at home, she wasn’t surprised. After all, she hadn’tdivorced her own husband.

“So what? We’re in love. I don’t mind that he has a wife. Besides, I haven’t divorced my husband either. We don’t judge each other.” Maja thought she must have misheard.

She only realized then how shameless Leo could be just for a meal.

“Get lost.”

Her face turned cold. The woman glared at lan next to her and left with a sneer.

What annoyed Maja even more was that the woman was heading into her own apartment complex.

Her body stiffened and her head began to hurt.

No wonder they bumped into each other here, they were neighbors!

The houses here were not cheap. Leo had found a wealthy, yet married woman to be his companion.

Maja felt nauseous. And with the fever, everything in front of her seemed to sway.

Just as she was about to fall, lan reached out to steady her. He gently grabbed her arm and took a stepback to avoid unnecessary contact.

Remembering their previous encounters, Maja felt a bit embarrassed.

She was about to insist that she could go up by herself, when he asked, “Which floor do you live on?”

Maja felt that she was really uncomfortable at this moment, and it was difficult to even stand alone. Thiswasn’t the time to reject him.

“Fifth floor, thank you, Mr. Raymond.”
