Chapter 1651

Maja rolled out of bed, her feet sinking into the plush carpet beneath her. She pushed open the bedroom door, only to find thehallway occupied.

There stood three men.Flanked by Fitch and Tyler, Beck looked a tad uneasy."I've been searching non-stop. How would | know?"

“What do you mean you don't know? Jesus, Beck, you got beef with lan or something? You want to pick a new beau for your sis?| remember you two brawling once. You've had it in for him all along, haven't you?"

Beck's face darkened with anger. "Tyler."

His eyes caught Maja as she emerged, and he quickly lowered his voice, "Maja has been on edge lately. Let's not rile her up withthis talk, okay?"

Tyler instantly raised his hands in surrender, signaling his lips were sealed.Maja managed a faint smile, and her mood seemed stable. They moved to the living room, and her gaze lingered on Fitch.

Fitch had a vibe similar to Dylan's but he was colder and more rigid. Even with his own sister Mia, he rarely smiles. Yet Dylanhad always been attentive and caring, even towards the phony of the Sanders family.

"Fitch, how's Zoey been?"Fitch went abroad mainly to avoid some trouble, but even here, he couldn't escape the mention of Zoey.He didn't respond, his eyes fixed on the coffee on the table.

Tyler jumped in hastily, "She's great. Your company's been killing it lately. | bet you missed the live-stream. Cornelia and Shawnnabbed awards. Wilma took home the newcomer prize. You guys swept the acting categories. The endorsement deals must berolling in. Zoey's probably swamped."

Maja let out a noncommittal "Oh."

Suddenly remembering that the Bennitt family had crossed Maja before, and Wendy was someone she had taken down herself,Tyler laughed awkwardly.

"Come on, you're about to be a mom and still holding grudges? | had nothing to do with the Bennitts' deeds."

Did Maja not know Tyler's nature? He loved chaos, and lived for the drama, all for the so-called inspiration for his scripts.

When she was with lan, Tyler had never missed a chance to stir the pot.

The thought of lan caused Maja's lashes to flutter down, and she fell silent.

With lan’s name unexpectedly dropping into the conversation, Tyler looked questioningly at Beck.

Beck quickly had a servant bring in a platter of fruit.

"Maja, have something to eat. You just woke up. Hungry?"

"Still no word from him?"

“Nothing.”

Maja had grown accustomed to disappointment. Now, staring at the fruit spread on the coffee table, she didn't know what to say.

Tyler tried to console her, "Ian's a tough guy; he'll be fine. Just focus on eating well and getting healthy. If you're bored, you couldalways visit Greenfield. Your team is probably eager for your return. Oh right, isn't Carol getting married next month? Aren't yougoing to the wedding?"

Maja had been feeling incredibly sleepy these days, and her mind was foggy upon awakening.

Not finding lan, she felt her soul had been ripped out.It suddenly stroke her that Carol was indeed getting married.Tyler leaned back, tossing an apple in his hand.

"Besides, Carol's dad is behind bars. She must be feeling terrible. ThaFelix is not an ay\to dali ,Shpiueed thang out at the BlueSkyBar, but | haven't seen her aroundlately. Makes me wonder if she'sbeen kept at home." Please read theoriginal content at NovelDrama.Org.
