Chapter 1067

Maja was too engrossed in savoring her food to pay any heed to the drama unfolding around her.

On the other hand, lan was propped on one hand, grinning at her, apparently finding delight in watchingher eat.

Maja had polished off half of her food when lan stopped her with a gentle nudge of his finger.

“Cold food, go easy on it. You don’t want a stomach ache.”

Reluctantly, she put it down

With an air of nonchalance, lan reached for a nearby napkin, took her hand, and started wiping herfingers, treating them like delicate pieces of

art

He was so engrossed that he failed to notice curious eyes on him. Equally engrossed in watching him,Maja was oblivious to the hushed whispers around them

It was only after a long pause that Ryan broke the silence

“Cousin, Tyler told me Fitch called you, but you didn’t answer. He asked you to return his call.”

lan had missed the conversation as he was still attending to Maja’s hands, but Ryan’s words directedeveryone’s attention towards them.

Surprise, jealousy, and disbelief were etched on their faces.

Ian pampering Maja just because she had eaten a crab had left everyone flabbergasted. What spellhad Maja cast on him?

Judith, grinding her teeth in anger, felt her blood boiling.

Her proclaimed affection for lan was being trampled upon by lan’s overt affection for Maja in front ofeveryone, an affront to her status as the Sanders family’s princess!

“Can’t she wipe her own hands? She’s not a child!” she spat.

Her words broke the silence

lan neatly folded the used napkin and tossed it into a nearby trash can, retorting, “None of yourbusiness.”

His blunt reply left Judith momentarily speechless.

Dylan decided to step in

“Mr. Raymond, my sister didn’t mean to offend. I heard the Raymond Corporation is expanding into thefilm industry. Our families are likely to collaborate in the future.”

His words escalated the situation to a business level.

lan leaned back, his gaze meeting Dylan’s.

“Mr. Sanders, you want to protect your sister I want to protect my woman. There’s a saying. He whostirs first is the scoundrel. Maja has been quiet tonight, and she didn’t initiate any conversation withyour sister. If your sister can keep her mouth shut, I believe we can coexist peacefully.” Just as hefinished speaking. Maja’s phone rang. It was an unknown number.

She stood up, patting lan’s shoulder, “I need to take this call. Let it go, and I don’t think Mr. Sanders is abad guy.”

Her words made lan grimace. He huffed and crossed his arms, his eyes colder.

Dylan, having his first close encounter with lan, was taken aback. He had only heard about lan duringhis investigations in North America.

But most of lan’s past remained a mystery. No one knew how lan, barely a teenager, had taken overthe underground fighting arena.

Dylan wasn’t fond of verbal confrontations, especially considering Judith’s genuine affection for lan, which put him at a disadvantage.

Seeing Dylan’s furrowed brows, Tyler quickly intervened.

“There’s a poker room inside. Shall we play a game, lan? It’ll be fun.”

So, while everyone continued their meal, Tyler led lan to the adjacent poker room.

The room was surrounded by large windows and filled with lush plants, offering an excellent ambiance.novelbin

Several other men joined them, with lan taking one of the seats and, surprisingly, Dylan sitting next tohim.

Tyler brought another man, and the four of them began to play poker.

But Judith insisted on meddling, standing by Dylan’s side, instructing him on which card to play.

Dylan, patient as ever, tapped her forehead with a finger, “You talk the most in this room.”

Judith promptly sat beside him, hence sandwiching herself between lan and Dylan.

After exchanging a few words with Dylan, she tumed to lan, her eyes twinkling, “lan, what card do youneed?”

The stranger on the other side chuckled, “Ms. Sanders seems to have a soft spot for Mr. Raymond.”

Judith blushed, “Of course, my feelings for him are genuine.”
