Victoria's reaction left Lachlan and Miranda's family stunned.
"Mom, what do you mean? How can you turn your back on us so quickly?"
"What do you mean we're blackmailing you? We just want to return to the family and take back whatbelongs to us."
"If it weren't for Lachlan, Romeo's family would have killed you! Now all we're asking for is this smallrequest, and yet you turn your back on us?" Cara asked angrily.
Because they were kicked out of the Lowe family, Cara and Emmanuel lost their positions in thecompany as well. They had nothing to do at home while being idle.
They wanted to regain their shares and restore their original positions not only for money but alsobecause they wanted something to do.
Emmanuel and Cara were not short of money, but they were still young at heart. Being idle madethem go crazy.
"Hmph! What belongs to you? What does that even mean?"
"Get lost! You are no longer part of the Lowes. You don't have a single share in any industry ownedby the Lowe family!"
"Don't forget that you have a pharmaceutical company too..." Victoria sneered mockingly.
Hearing this made Miranda's family furious.

Lachlan had a dark expression on his face; his tone carried a threat, "Mrs. Lowe, don't forget that if Idon't treat you, then at most three days are left before it's too late! Do you really want death?"

"What? Can you do anything to me? Do you want to torture me like Dale did to me? Come on then,I can take it!" Victoria sneered sarcastically.
Lachlan took a deep breath and said, "You are my wife's grandmother and my father-in-law'smother. How could I torture you? But I believe that one day, you will come begging for my help! Let'swait and see."
Looking at Victoria's face, Lachlan really wanted to kick her with a shoe sole.
But he couldn't do it!

After leaving Lowe's Mansion, Cara cursed angrily in the car along with Emmanuel who got caughtup in her anger.
"Mom, don't be angry!" Miranda tried to console her with a bitter smile.
"How can I not be angry? Did you not see her two-faced attitude towards us? If it wasn't for Lachlanexposing their family secrets, she would have been killed! Lachlan saved her life but she is still soungrateful! Ugh!! This old hag makes me want to slap her!" Cara fumed furiously.
"Cara, what are you saying?! That is your mother-in-law..." Emmanuel frowned when he heard hiswife speak like that.
"She may be your mom but she isn't mine! I don't recognize this mother-in-law of mine anymore!She makes me so mad!" Cara gritted her teeth as she spoke while Emmanuel shrunk back into hisseat showing his fear of upsetting his wife even more.
He was mainly guilty himself and didn't know how else he could defend Victoria after what she haddone this time. It was truly despicable behavior from someone who should know better than anyoneelse how important family was.
"Mom, calm down," Mason also tried consoling them both while shaking his head in disbelief at thesituation they found themselves in.
Lachlan drove ahead of them silently listening until finally speaking up, "This was my fault. I neverexpected Mrs. Lowe would stoop so low. Next time…next time if we get another chance…I promisewe'll make sure things end differently."
As he spoke, there was an icy edge creeping into Lachlan's voice as if daring anyone who crossedhim or threatened those close to him, they wouldn't live long enough regretting their actions.
If only he knew earlier just how ruthless Victoria could be, then maybe he wouldn't have let Dalereveal their plans before they were ready. Now all they could do was wait for another opportunitywhere they'd make sure everything ended decisively without any loose ends left behind – unless ofcourse Victoria wanted death instead!
In the end though, Lachlan never imagined that Victoria would resort to such underhanded tacticswhich left him unprepared for what came next...
"Alright! Let's do it! Next time, we must crush that old lady under our feet!"
"I'm so angry!" Cara gritted her teeth.
Emmanuel let out a bitter laugh, opened his mouth to speak but then held back.
After separating from his in-laws and Mason, Lachlan received a call while driving Miranda home. Itwas Allison calling.
Glancing at the goddess CEO beside him, Lachlan hesitated for a moment before answering."Allison? Is there something you need?"
Lachlan asked with a smile, trying to sound as natural as possible.
"If there isn't anything wrong, can't I just call you?" Allison teased.
"Uh... no..." Lachlan chuckled awkwardly.
Allison laughed and then spoke with excitement and gratitude in her voice. "Lachlan, today I tookmy mom for an examination! Do you know what the doctor said to my mom?"
As she spoke, Allison imitated the doctor's tone of voice with some annoyance and impatience. "Itold your mother that she doesn't have any heart problems and asked why she spent so muchmoney on a full check-up? Does she have too much money to burn?"
"Hehehe..." After speaking those words, Allison burst into laughter filled with joy that couldn't beexpressed in words. It was like a huge burden weighing down on her family had finally dissipatedinto thin air.
Although Lachlan had claimed he cured Kailey last time, everyone still remained skeptical until allthe results of her examinations came out today. When they saw everything was fine, they wereoverjoyed!
