Never once in Selena’s day had she forgotten about her father’s mean words.
Roland’s face turned livid because that was exactly what he said to his daughter.
Other guests traded glances upon hearing that. Judging from Roland’s expression, they figured thatwhat Selena said was true. How ruthless could a father be to say such things to his daughter?
“Miss Yard, come on. It’s not the time to talk about business. We haven’t met for a long time. Willyou have a chat with me?” Zeke tried to smooth things over by changing the topic.
“Sure.” Then, Selena ignored her father and shuffled toward Zeke.
It was too embarrassing for Roland because he was humiliated by his daughter in front of so manypowerful people.
Just then, Megan, who was clad in a wedding dress, appeared at the venue, which stunnedeveryone. Typically, the bride would only appear at the venue after the emcee went on stage andmade an introduction.
Why did she come here on her own?
Megan told her assistant to lift the hem for her and stepped into the venue confidently. Upon seeingher, Finneas was equally shocked as well. “What are you doing here? The wedding hasn’tcommenced yet.”
“Finneas, I need to make an announcement. You’ll know what I mean soon.”
Before Finneas could utter a word, she went on stage and said, “Everyone, my wedding withFinneas will commence soon, but before that, there’s something I need to tell you.”
In an instant, all the guests shifted their attention to her. It’s going to get interesting.
Finneas frowned, not knowing what she was trying to do.
Just then, he caught a glimpse of Selena, who held her head high. She really looked like an elegantswan.
She’s as beautiful and charming as before. Now, she’s grown to be more mature. In the past, I wasalso attracted by her beauty.
“First of all, I have to introduce to you my dear sister, Miss Selena Yard!” Megan pointed at Selena,after which her assistant invited Selena to go on stage.
With a smile, Selena rose from the chair and went up the stairs.
Before this, Megan had been staying in her room, so she didn’t know what happened in thewedding hall.
“My sister, Selena, is the most adorable sister in the world.” Megan held Selena’s arm andcontinued, “Some time ago, she told me that she’s now the wife of the President of JNSCorporation, which genuinely shocked me. I was really happy for her!”
Then, she shot a derisive look at Selena. “Selena, if you really married the President of JNSCorporation, I’d be over the moon. However, I really can’t hide it from you any longer. It’s becausethat man is a liar!”
