Once they saw that Selena had returned, both Melissa and Joshua thoughtfully left the ward evenbefore they were told to do so. They wanted to allow Selena to spend more time with her daughter.That night, Selena slept in the ward itself with her arms tightly wrapped around Juniper. “The doctortold me that I can give birth to another child and that we can use the blood from my umbilical cord totreat your illness, Juniper,” Selena whispered.
“Are you planning to have another baby with Mr. Handsome, Mommy?” Juniper paid no attention tothe second half of Selena’s sentence.
Selena gently caressed the young girl’s hair. “Do you think that would be a good idea?”
“Of course! That way, I can be someone’s elder sister!” Juniper’s eyes lit up for a moment. “But Idon’t want to take the blood from the baby’s umbilical cord.”
“Why not?” Selena asked.
Juniper’s eyes twinkled as brightly as the constellations in the night sky. “I want the baby to be borninto a world where we all love her, not a world where I need her, Mommy,” she uttered as her cleargaze landed on Selena.
Selena felt a lump forming in her throat—the young girl’s words had directly struck her in her softspot. I really have the best daughter in the world, she thought as she gently fondled Juniper’s hair.She couldn’t manage to speak without choking on her tears then, so she simply pulled Juniper in fora tight hug.
“Mommy, if the baby grows up and finds out that she only existed because I needed her help, shewould be really sad. That’s why I don’t want to take the blood from her umbilical cord. Promise methat it won’t happen, okay, Mommy?” Juniper continued.

Selena had hoped for Hades to change his mind in the three days before their wedding, but it didn’thappen in the end. She didn’t catch a glimpse of him until the day of the wedding itself. On the dayitself, Selena sat quietly in her room as she waited for the day to start.
Barbie arranged for a stylist and a makeup artist to doll Selena up. Hades was a unique individual—he couldn’t adhere to the laypeople’s tedious traditions and ceremonies. Their wedding wastherefore just a simple celebration hosted in the castle itself—they wouldn’t need to travelanywhere.
The guests were mostly Hades and Satan’s followers. Being the supportive brother he was, Satanhad practically ordered every one of his followers to show up at Hades’ wedding. Selena could hearthe commotion happening outside her room from the moment she woke up in the morning. Oncethe stylist arrived, she sat down in front of the mirror and allowed the stylist to move her around.Barbie pushed the door open and stuck her head into the room. “You’re going to send everyonefalling head over heels, you gorgeous bride!”
Selena forced a smile onto her face as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. What’s the purposeof looking pretty when I’m not getting married to the man I love?
“Are they all ready?” Selena asked.
“You’re the only missing piece now!” Barbie sat down beside Selena as she continued rambling. “Isaw Hades in a full suit earlier. Gosh, he was so attractive! He looked stunning. You’ll have tocontrol your hormones later.”
However, Selena wasn’t in the mood to talk about such matters—her mind was a complete mess.Right then, Melissa rushed back from the hospital and stopped by to greet Selena. “Hey, Selena. Ican’t leave Juniper alone for too long, so I’m afraid I’ll have to leave halfway through the weddingceremony.”
“Thank you so much for helping,” Selena replied.
“There’s no need to thank me.” Melissa could tell that Selena was troubled by something—Selenawouldn’t have hidden the wedding from Juniper otherwise.
“Selena, are you… okay?” Melissa asked.
Barbie was nowhere near as perceptive or sensitive as Melissa was, and she replied before Selenacould say anything. “I bet she’s about to faint from happiness! Hahahaha…”
Selena simply flashed Melissa a smile. “I’m fine.”
The time came for the wedding ceremony to begin officially. One of the past owners of the castlewas a religious man, so there was a huge cross on display in the ballroom. Hades had hired a priestfor the ceremony, and the priest stood before the cross in his white, formal vestment right then ashe waited for the bride and groom’s arrival.
