“Why are you still drinking when you know you’re pregnant?”
With a smile on her face, Jude commented offhandedly, “I don’t want the baby anyway.”

“You know who.” Without naming the man, Jude dismissed the question with a curt reply. She knewfull well that Selena would know who she meant, which was true. Turning around, Selena questioned, “Are you seeing each other again?”
“Aren’t you curious as to why I haven’t been in touch with you for a while?”
While looking at Jude, Selena was blaming herself for not being alarmed when Jude didn’t contacther at all. She didn’t even think of sending her a message to inquire about her. “So does he know?”novelbin

Selena’s stomach sank, which made her feel uncomfortable. Abruptly, she held Jude in her arms.“I’m sorry for neglecting you, Jude. How could I not—”
“Alright! Selena, while I have to admit that your hug is very soothing, I do not appreciate thesegestures. Have you forgotten? Jude brushed her finger under Selena’s chin before going upstairs. After that, Selena sent Linda atext to tell her to come get Juniper the next day.
