Jasper and Alyssa made eye contact with each other, And everyone went silent. It was as though
time had been frozen for a moment.
“That’s Mr. Beckett! It really is him!” Someone quickly recognized Jasper.

“How could you-” Jasper jolted in shock. It was too late for him to stop Alyssa.
He could only watch as Alyssa sacrificed her wrist to save the housekeeper. She might look frail andpetite, but she was actually a kind and determined woman.
That sight shocked Jasper to his core.

Before she could do so, Jasper grabbed her by the arm and pulled her toward him.
