“She’s divorced. So what?” Newton furrowed his brows angrily. “I’ll adopt her as my granddaughter ifneed be! She is forever a Beckett!”
Alyssa was strongly touched by Newton defending her. Tears welled up in her eyes. Newton was thereason she couldn’t bring herself to cut all ties with the Becketts–she’d miss him sorely.
Liana was consumed by rage and almost passed out from the Intensity of her emotions. Everyone elsewas surprised by Alice who displayed such a charm apart from her beauty that Newton Beckett dotedon her.
“Grandpa.” Jasper felt uneasy at the idea that Newton wanted to adopt Alice as his granddaughter.“Stop making it awkward for Alice. She might not be on board with your good intentions.”

Alyssa was dumbfounded by the exchange. Jasper’s face hardened–as Newton’s grandson, he hadbeen sidelined in favor of Alice.
