Landon’s eyes beamed with sincerity. In a deeply affectionate tone, he said, “Believe me, Lauren. I willbe like Jasper. Even if the sky falls, I will never leave you. I will always watch over you, by your side.”
Lauren didn’t reply. She simply lowered her eyes and covered her mouth with her hand.
Rather than being watched over like a flower in an arboretum, she wished that she could be of help tohim. Even if there was nothing she could do as the dull person that she was, she did not want to createtrouble for the one she loved most.
While some of them felt pleased, some others felt their heart sink.
Jasper’s behavior was decisive and merciless. Everyone there knew the kind of person he was. Noneof them could stop him.
The hatred in Zoe made her blood rush to her eyes. She let out a little dry cough as she was about toblow her top.
