Winston’s tone of voice sounded increasingly firm. “Not only are you and Jasper together, but he’s alsostaying at your house in Solana City?” he questioned.
Jasper’s ears perked up at the vague sound of his name being mentioned.

Instantly, Alyssa’s eyes became dark. “What do you mean, Dad? Did you send someone to follow me?”
“Is there any issue with me being concerned for my daughter?” Winston answered her with a question.He wasn’t going to humor her any longer.
Alyssa chuckled. “I was alone overseas for five, six years. You’ve never sent anyone to follow me.During the Christmas holidays, you’ve never sent me any Christmas cards or well wishes. Why are yousuddenly being concerned now?”
A fire of rage rose within Alyssa. She put her hand on her waist and continued, “Are you possessed, ordo you just have too much free. time on your hands because you’re about to retire?”
Jasper furrowed his brows and remained expressionless.
Alone overseas? And it was for five to six years at that? Why so?
The Taylor family members doted on her so much, so how could they not be worried?

“Yeah,” Jasper answered with a dejected look on his face.
“There’s nothing we can do about it. Winston is getting old, more stubborn than I am. Plus, you don’thave a good track re makes sense that he doesn’t like you.” Alyssa pouted.
“I get it.”
“But that’s alright. Whatever hurdles come our way, we’ll get over them. Things have alreadyprogressed to this stage. There’s nothing. that we cannot overcome.”
Out of the blue, Alyssa blinked and asked, “If Winston doesn’t approve of us being together at the endof the day, and if the entire world doesn’t approve of us, will you give me up?”
Jasper fixed his eyes on her. Looking deep into her eyes, he asked her back, “Will you give me up?”
Alyssa put her finger on her chin and pretended to give it a good thought. After a while, she shook herhead.
“No, I won’t.”
Jasper’s breathing was deep and heavy. He opened his arms and pulled her in for an embrace.
He put his chin on the top of her head as tears pooled in his eyes. Ant intense twinge of bittersweetemotions filled his heart.
“If you won’t leave me, neither will I leave you.”
He was determined to be with her-forever.
