Chapter 1048

“Oh my goodness, I nearly forgot!” Cyrus suddenly smacked his. forehead. His eyes were glowingexcitedly. “You helped us solve two murder cases before! One was by pinpointing material evidencethat gave us a breakthrough, and the other was identifying mistakes in at suspect’s statement, whichmade the criminal come clean!”

Jasper stared at Alyssa in sheer awe.

How could Alyssa be so phenomenal? There was no way he could catch up to her at this rate.

Jasper used to think he was pretty decent. But now, he felt like a piece of used tissue paper in front ofAlyssa.

“Looks like you still remember my achievements, Cyrus,” Alyssa teased. “If it weren’t for Winston,Mandy, and everyone else holding me back, I would’ve become a gun-slinging police officer myself. You might even be calling me Madam right now.”

“That’s only because everyone worried you would be in danger be out on the front lines every day. They all dote on you, after all. But they still couldn’t stop you in the end, no? You ended up …”

Alyssa suddenly shot Cyrus a look, which made him stop talking. Her secret had nearly been revealed.

Cyrus then led Jasper and Alyssa to see the station’s captain.novelbin

The captain, Orion Holt, naturally remembered who Alyssa was. He still recalled how her keen attentionto detail helped them solve a previous case.

What was more surprising was that Jasper was here.

Jasper Beckett’s name alone was enough to instill a sense of magnitude in Orion. Orion knew just howpowerful Jasper was without needing to exchange any words.

“Thank you for coming all this way, Mr. Beckett. I apologize for not welcoming you earlier!” Orion saidhurriedly.

His attitude toward Alyssa was kind, but he grew excited and courteous upon turning to Jasper. Heeven told Cyrus, chief of the First Criminal Investigation Division, to bring Jasper some coffee!

Cyrus internally cursed his captain.

Meanwhile, Jasper hurriedly stood up and said, “I’ll get it myself.”

No way was Jasper going to let his future brother-in-law make coffee for him right in front of Alyssa. Hehadn’t lost his mind yet!

Jasper still needed to marry Alyssa!

Alyssa’s eyes narrowed fondly. She was pleased to see that Jasper knew his place.

“Oh, my goodness! We can’t let you go through all the trouble. you some myself!”

Orion hurriedly got Jasper a mug of coffee, making Cyrus fume silently.

If Orion knew that Cyrus was the seventh child of Winston Taylor, the wealthiest man from Belbanks, would he straight up have Cyrus move into his own office?

Jasper was in no hurry to drink the coffee. He tapped on the mug to test its temperature before blowingat it gently. He then offered it to Alyssa.

“Here. It’s not scalding anymore,” he said.

Cyrus and Orion were left speechless.

“You have some, too.” Alyssa took a sip before passing it back to Jasper.

Jasper drank from the spot where her lips had just touched.

Their interaction wasn’t too over the top. Regardless, it made the onlookers feel envious.

“Captain Holt, we’re here today just for one thing-to speak with

Jeffrey Snyder,” Jasper said without waiting for Alyssa or Cyrus to speak
