It was true that she was feeling dejected in part because of this.

Kirk didn’t suspect anything. “If you want to see her, I can go with you.”

Caroline lay her head on Kirk’s shoulder. “Alright.”

They were quiet during the car ride. Soon, they arrived at the restaurant. They were led to the huge

private room Marietta had reserved.

When they pushed the door open and went inside, the room fell silent. Three people looked at Caroline

and Kirk.

Both Aurora’s and Yvonne’s eyes lit up when they saw Kirk.

“You’re here. Quick, come in,” Marietta called out to Caroline.

Caroline walked in, holding Kirk’s hand. Meanwhile, Aurora and Yvonne were still staring at Kirk.

Unsettled by this, Caroline coughed. “Mom.”

with this broke bum than get with Eddy.
