“Sir..” he said
“How is it?” Aiden smiled. “Let Ms. Weiss have a look at the results.”
The doctor wavered.
Aiden noticed his hesitance and immediately sensed something amiss. “What’s wrong?”
Eventually, the doctor told him, “Sir, the results showed that Ms. Hackett isn’t related to you by blood”
Everyone’s expression changed when he finished speaking.
“N–no way! I’m daddy’s daughter!” Yvonne sounded frantic. “There must be something wrong with the
report!”
Aiden snatched the report from the doctor angrily. His face fell after he scanned through it. He turned to
stare at his wife in disbelief.
Mis. Hackett’s clenched her hands. “What’s wrong, dear? Don’t look at me like that.”
“Yvonne’s not our daughter,” Aiden said. Shocked, she staggered to the point of almost falling
completely.
“T–that’s impossible.”
Marietta took the report from Aiden. She confirmed that Yvonne was not related to the Hackett couple.
Looking at the three devastated people before her, Marietta found herself at a loss for words. All she
could do was stare in silence.
“No!” Yvonne screamed, her voice full of despair and frustration. “You must’ve colluded with the doctor
to give us a false report. Dad, Mom, this can’t fool you!”

hope once again.
She had imagined that her daughter might not want to admit their relationship. The time she spent with

“I’ll take my leave. We’ll talk about this after everyone has calmed down.” She left the hospital
immediately.
Yvonne couldn’t hold back her tears anymore. She threw herself into her mother’s arms and cried her
