At the hospital, Sean pushed open the door and walked into the ward.
He glanced at Caroline, who had her eyes closed as she lay on the hospital bed. Then, he looked at
Kirk, who had sat vigil here all night.

Sean looked up as the elevator doors slowly opened. He was emotional as he patted Charles on the

Charles shook his head in confusion.

rational enough in love. So, to prevent hurting her, you will have to force yourself to be
rational.”
As Sean spoke, his tone became more distraught.
