Caroline’s expression changed. Hastily, she turned to look at Jack, who swayed, obviously drugged,
just like her.
Alarm bells started ringing in her head. She quickly pinched her arm, and the pain cleared her head a
little.
Grabbing Jack’s arm, she dashed for the door but was stopped in her tracks when she saw two brawny
men blocking their path.
