Lilac felt her head was throbbing painfully, but the pain on her back and arms had. decreased. Itwas almost bearable now, even though, she still felt uncomfortable with the bandages around herwound.
She wanted to stretch her b*dy and turn around, but a hand stopped her from doing so.
“Your back is still wounded, you can’t lay on your back.” Hunter said in gentle.

Lilac was not fully awake at this time, but hearing his voice and felt his firm and big palm, she feltcomfortable enough. Slowly, she opened her eyes and looked at her surroundings, yet from herposition, it was hard to see Hunter’s face, she could. only see lower b*dy.
“Water… please…” Lilac said, her throat was very dry, as if she just ate sands. Her voice hoarseand heavy.
“Don’t turn your b*dy around,” Hunter reminded her before he got off the bed and then poured aglass of water for Lilac.
Very gently, Hunter cradled her b*dy, turned her around, but he held her on her shoulders, so herback didn’t touch the bed.
Only then, Lilac could see his expression and she was shocked to see how gloomy his face was, asif he just heard his whole family was being slaughtered, if that was the right thing to say.
“Drink slowly.” Hunter brought the glass to her l*ps and tipped it slightly, so she could drink thewater.
The liquid glazed down her throat, moistened her parched l*ps and dry throat, This made Lilac feela lot better. She could breathe easily now and had more strength.
“What happened?” Lilac asked. “You look so scary.”
Hunter stared at her. “How am I not?”

“You are hurt Lilac. What do you expect? Do you really expect me to laugh and greet you with aridiculous smile on my face?” Hunter sighed deeply, he knew it

Not to mention that Rye had been telling him Kellan demanded a meeting with him, but of course,Hunter denied him. He didn’t want to see him, because he knew what he was going to say about hisdaughter and Hunter didn’t have enough patient to hear his rumbling.
He had a very short temper right now, which was not the right feeling to have when you have toface a confrontation, because the first thing that came to Hunter’s mind was how to kill hisopponent. His bloodlust would go wild.
“You are worried about me…” Lilac stated, half in disbelieve, half feeling how funny it was.
“I feel like I am going to kill someone.”
Lilac didn’t take serious for that statement, as she recalled what happened to her that night. “Whathappened to me? There was a woman…”
“I know.” Hunter cut her statement short. He definitely knew.
“Do you know her?” Lilac saw his brows creased deeply, as if he was holding back his anger.
“Yes.”
“Your lover?”
Hunter didn’t immediately answer her, but he kept silence for two second before. he blurted it out.“Had S** twice in the past, but I will not call her as a lover.”
Lilac’s eyes widened in shocked, as she pushed him away. “Get away from me!” she said fiercely,but then she whimpered when her back was killing her. How he could say such thing easily?!
And then what? He already deflowered another woman? How he could tell her that she was the onehe wanted to be his woman when he already gave himself to different woman?
“You should be ashamed of yourself!” Lilac was very agitated, which was not good for her back.
“You need to calm down Lilac, or else, your wounds will reopen again.”
“I can understand why she wanted to kill me.” Lilac felt the same thing too with Ruby, she wanted tokill that woman, but she couldn’t bring herself to do so.
