“I am going to talk with her first, you can find another day for that,” Hunter spoke sternly in his deepand husky voice with Aiden.
Lilac was surprised with what this lycan blurted it out, as if they had known each other for long,despite the fact this was the first time they met and talked with each other.
On the other hand, Aiden didn’t look happy with that. His jaw tightened, as he glared at Hunter.“Alpha Hunter,” he mentioned his name and title with venom on the tip of his tongue. He stared atthe alpha directly and this made all of them could feel the tension that raise in this small stall. “May Iknow what is your business with my mate?”
Aiden felt miserable when he couldn’t reach Lilac and the bond between them didn’t make thingseasier for him. Ruby had been so nice and understanding with his situation, which made him felt soguilty for thinking about another woman when the woman he chose was carrying his child, but hedidn’t feel right, until he talked with Lilac to make her understood his situation.
Aiden still couldn’t let her go.
“Your mate?” Hunter tilted his head, he didn’t let go of Lilac’s hand and she couldn’t free herselfwhen his grip was so firm on her wrist, more so, she didn’t think she wanted him to let her go,because seeing the jealousy and how upset Aiden was, gave her some strange of satisfaction. “Ithought your mate is the one, who is currently pregnant.”
The words had spread around and it was not that difficult for Hunter’s scouts to get their hands onsuch shocking news. They even provided more detail information that even Lilac didn’t know about.

“Is that so?” Hunter raised his brows and glanced at the woman beside him. He contemplated for asecond and took the bet. “Fine.”
All of sudden, he let go of Lilac’s hand and took a step back, as if he gave her to him, which left thegirl with no defense to refuse Aiden. She needed to say it to him directly if she really didn’t want totalk with him.
Meanwhile, the man, who was with Hunter only sat back and watched how everything unfolded. Hehad this frustrated look on his face, knowing what his alpha was up to. He had warned Hunter, buthe seemed not to care about the warning.
“Lilac, let’s talk somewhere, Aiden softened his voice when he shifted his attention toward Lilac, Hesimiled helplessly to see her cold gaze. She looked so beautiful tonight with the dress thataccentuated her curves and the color complimented her skin. “Come with me.” He took a stepcloser, but Lilac stepped back, she avoided his stretched hand, as if it would plague her with somekind of disease.
“I don’t want to talk with you, Lilac said clearly and this made Hunter had to stop himself fromlaughing out loud, which made the corner of his l*ps tugged upward. He looked so charming whenhe did that.
“Lilac..” Aiden became even more frustrated. “Let’s not talk about this here.”

Aiden didn’t accept rejection, especially from his mate, thus he tried to force his way to get Lilac totalk with him.
As he approached her aggressively. Hunter was about to intervene, but Lilac had come to him firstand took his hand
“Let’s go. Do you have something to talk with me?” Lilac’s small hand grabbed his wrist, she felt likeher palm was burning because of how hot he was. Was all the lyean had this high b*dytemperature? It was not a wonder they were very hotheaded.
Hunter was kind of surprised to see Lilac’s decision to get him involved, but he played along withthis little girl. “Of course, let’s go.”
He knew that werewolf was relative smaller than lycan, but then even in her petite size, she wasfeisty and he could see that.
“Where do you think, you are going?!” Aiden was furious, he was about to grab Lilac’s other hand,but Hunter was way faster than him, as he slapped his hand away
“Is this how you treat someone else?” Hunter asked in taunting tone. “By forcing yourself?”
On the other hand, Aiden felt his hand stung, the slap was so harsh, he felt like he was going tobreak his bones, instead of preventing him grabbing Lilac’s hand.

And Hunter didn’t need to bicker about it, because Lilac made it sure Aiden heard her for thesecond time.
“I don’t want to talk with you!” And with that, Lilac pulled Hunter’s hand with her, so this strong andbig lycan would follow her out of the stall. She even forgot about her unpaid drink.
Behind her, Aiden shouted her name, calling her back to talk with him, but Lilac couldn’t care lessabout that. She was not ready for a conversation with him and even if she wanted to have it, itshould be on her own terms, but Aiden couldn’t understand that at all.
The lively street immediately deafening Aiden’s voice, as Lilac hastened her step, but once she wassure Aiden didn’t follow her, she let go of Hunter’s hand.
“Thank you and apologize for the trouble,” Lilac said timidly, while Aiden stared down at her.
