Aiden was not happy with the fact Ruby talked to Hunter. This was not her place to do this, becauseshe was his mate and this was not appropriate for a woman to talk with the alpha, even though herstatus was the luna of the pack.
Ruby must have learned about this from his mother, but then she conveniently forgot about it andbecame very inappropriate with Hunter. He humiliated him with the way she interacted with thealpha lycan.
And if Aiden could tell about that, of course, Hunter also could see that too, he saw Ruby’sadoration pretty clear. He was familiar with that kind of gaze and needless to say, he was disgustedby it.
Yet, he still responded to her, after all, she was still the luna of the pack and this was too early toagitate them.
“You will know when she is here. Just wait for a moment, luna Ruby,” Hunter said.
Ruby couldn’t help, but blushed when he actually spoke to her. She thought, she would be ignoredby him and she was ready for the awkwardness that came after, but as it turned out, the alpharesponded to her question.
Therefore, she was smiling prettily. “I am looking forward to it.”
Aiden couldn’t hold himself back anymore at this point, as he frowned and took over theconversation. “It’s nice to see you here, alpha. I thought you will miss this celebration, since I didn’tsee you on the first and the second day.”
This was the last day of the celebration and alpha Hunter was the last, who came. In a way, thiswas an insult, because it could be interpreted as him not in taking this invitation important enough.
“I was busy,” Hunter replied. “There was someone, who was trying to enter my pack?”
Aiden’s heart skipped a beat, but he regained his composure pretty fast, not letting alpha Hunter tosee that.
“Let’s come over here,” Aiden said. “This is a tradition for my pack to let the guess to see the baby,because this celebration is about him. And because I don’t know that you will come tonight the babyis still in the nursery room. Let’s go there.”
Hunter smiled, it was so rare to see him smiling like this and this could mean a lot of things, whichput Aiden on alert, but when he spoke, his voice sounded graceful. “Thank you, but I will wait for mymate to see the baby.”
Aiden felt a little bit awkward, but somehow, he was excited to see Lilac again.
Right at that time, the room went silent for a while, before a gush of whispery tone filled the roomand everyone looked at a certain direction.
Out of instinct, Aiden and Ruby tilted their head to look what caught all the people’s attention, butHunter knew immediately what, or rather who the caused of it, since he caught her smell themoment she stepped into the room.
Her scent was intoxicating lately and he couldn’t resist her most of the night, until both of them weretired.
The reason why she was late, was because she needed extra time to prepare herself. Hunterwanted Lilac to be the center of attention, he wanted her to look exceptional tonight and even more,he wanted all the people to pay close attention to her.
Well, some part of it, might be because Hunter wanted to flaunt how well Lilac was when she waswith him and he wanted a certain alpha to see what he had lost. It was a little bit entertaining to seethe shitty look on Aiden’s face, knowing he was still thinking of his mate and all he could do rightnow was regretting what he had done.
Aiden could regret all he wanted, it would be great if he ended his life because of that, though it wasa little bit farfetched.
“You look so great,” Hunter said when Lilac was already by his side.
Lilac was wearing a long dress, the color of lilac, like her name and had her hair tied up on top ofher head, which showed her slender n*eck. Her dress didn’t show much of her skin, but it huggedher voluptuous b*dy perfectly.

stared at her when she walked into the room, but she turned very shy under Hunter’s heated gaze.It felt like he was going to eat her whole. Well, of course, in her mind, eating her in different way.
“You look gorgeous too.”
Actually, it didn’t need a long time for Lilac to prepare herself, but Hunter intentionally didn’t wakeher up when she was sleeping, making her late for the preparation with the excuse this event wasnot really important for her to attend on time and disturb her sleep.

That thought was proven right when Aiden blurted it out without even thinking about it twice.
“You look so beautiful,” Aiden said, his gaze was misty when he stared at Lilac.
On the other hand, Lilac simply spared him a glance and politely thanked him, but that was it, therewas no other interaction between them, Lilac acted as if Aiden did not even exist.
“Let’s see the baby,” Ruby said begrudgingly.
