Chapter 3 Aiden lowered his head when he heard that and the current sight of him hurt Lilac so much. Shecouldn’t believe this was the man she had been waiting for all this time, her mate, her soulmate.someone that she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with. “The battle has been so intense. You will not be able to understand it since you were not there. Aiden’sjaw hardened when he told Lilac what he had to endure during the war. “I was lonely and you were notthere.” “So, the first thing that crossed your mind was to find another woman to f u c k?!” Lilac raised her voice, she was so hurt by his lame excuses. He essentially told her that he got that woman pregnant justbecause he couldn’t stand being alone and keep his member inside his pants. “Lilac!” Aiden raised his voice too, but he didn’t have any valid point to retort her statement. “You don’tunderstand how I feell You were not the one who fought those lycans! You don’t know how it feels to bea step closer to your own death!” A tear escaped Lilac’s eyes when she heard that. He didn’t even apologize for what he had done. Hewas trying to justify his actions and wanted Lilac to see it from his point of view, so she couldunderstand him. But, what about her?! “I have been waiting for you, trying to learn how to be a perfect luna for you when you return. I wantedto make you proud of me.” Lilac wiped her tears from her checks roughly. “I was lonely too. I wantedyou by my side. Every day and night. I prayed for your safe return, so we can be together again. Noteven once did it cross my mind I can find another man to fill the emptiness of your absence” Aiden gritted his teeth. The sight of Lilac right now as she cried bitterly filled him with so much pain. The mate bond-still worked between them. He could feel the pain that Lilac had to bear, he could feel itin his blood; how he had hurt his other half so much. Her voice trembled with every syllable, becauseshe was having a hard time holding back her emotions. “It’s different, Lilac.” Aiden shook his head. “You don’t understand. Our situations are different.”

Still. He still didn’t apologize to her. Lilac gritted her teeth, as she stared at Aiden in disbelief. “You didn’t even apologize for what you havedone, Aiden, and here I am, thinking, at the very least, you feel a little bit sorry for me.” Aiden looked surprised, he didn’t think about that. He was so busy defending himself and feeling high-strung, since he knew he was in the wrong and it was his basic instinct to make Lilac understand himinstead. “Lilac, I he stuttered slightly. “I am sorry.” The word founded so cheap to Lilac when he finally said that. “You don’t feel sorry, Aiden, you don’tregret it. Your words sound empty.” Lilac, Aiden took a step closer and grabbed her hands tightly. “Lilac, we can find a way out of this.. wecan still be together.” Lilac narrowed her eyes. She had this gut feeling that told her, she wouldn’t like whatever came fromAuden’s mouth right now. 2부 71%) Chapter 3 “What do you mean?” Aiden had this complicated look on his face when he spoke again. “We can still be together…” he onlyrepeated what he said and that was enough for Lilac. She swatted his hands away and glared at him. “If you think I will go down that path, you can’t be anymore wrong.” she said sternly through her gritted teeth. And before Aiden could say something else, Lilac turned around and ran away from him. She held backfrom crying out loud, as the loud music could be heard in the distance, where people still celebrated thereturn of the warriors from the battlefield. But right now, Lilac was grieving the death of the bond she shared with her mate.

She wanted to reject Aiden, but her heart couldn’t take the rejection just yet. She had never been in somuch pain like right now.And for the rest of the week, Lilac stayed inside her bedroom, she barely came out and every timeAident came to see her, she would always have her door locked. It was only Luna Jasmine, Alpha James and a few of her closer friends, who knew about whathappened, while the rest of the people wondered about the woman, who always clung to Aiden. “Lilac, don’t be sad anymore…” Aria spoke to her softly. She was Lilac’s close friend, they had knowneach other since they were little and were still in the orphanage. “Let’s go out, you will feel better if youparticipate in the festivities.” Aria nudged her b*dy, trying to act cheerful, even though she felt so badfor Lilac. How could one’s mate do something so horr e n d o u s like what Aiden did to her? “I don’t want to feel better, Aria. I want to disappear.” Tears escaped her beautiful eyes again, her longhair was disheveled, as she stopped taking care of herself for days now. She looked like she wasmourning Aiden, even though the man safely returned to their pack. “Don’t be like that, Lilac. Let’s go out to walk for a bit, this evening there will be a party to welcome thepeople from the lycan pack.” Yes. The lycan pack would be here for at least a week, as their leader would sign a peace treaty withthe other five alphas. The five alphas had come yesterday and now they only needed to wait for the Lycan Alpha and hispeople to come. Right at that time, Luna Jasmine knocked on the door and Aria opened it. “Lilac. I want to show you the dress that you will wear for the party tonight. I think you will feel better ifyou attend the party.”novelbin
