Lilac walked slowly toward the inner cell. She could smell blood very thick in the air and anotherpungent smell. that would make your stomach protested, but her mind was too occupied withsomething else for her to care about that.
She took a deep breath before she appeared in front of Kellan cell and saw with her own eyes whatkind of torture that he had gone through. Her heart lurched.
People always said that the lycan was barbaric and for a moment, she forgot about all of that becauseof the way Hunter treated her, but now she understood what it meant when they said they werebarbaric.
Hunter had warned her as well before that she might not like the sight she was seeing, but she wassimply stubborn and now she had to witness it with her own

As if he sensed someone, Kellan raised his head and when he did so, Lilac saw his eyes had beengauged out of his sockets, leaving two holes that kept bleeding, it seemed they kept inflicting pain onthe same spot.

“Who is it!?” he growled.

“Who is there?! I know there is someone there! Who is it?!” Kellan sniffed the air, he frowned. Hecouldn’t see anymore, but his other senses worked just fine. “Hunter?” The scent was not right, but heknew that he smelled a trace of his scent from whoever this person was.
Lilac took a deep breathe, she tried to calm herself down, though it was not easy at all. She kepttrembling, but she decided to walk back and have this conversation. She was already here, why notcontinue?
“It’s not Hunter. It’s me, Lilac.” Lilac was very grateful that her voice was not trembling like her body,she sounded brave.
“Lilac..” Kellan tasted the name in his tongue before he guffawed. “You must be
Hunter’s little bit ch!e.
The name calling was definitely not necessary. It shouldn’t have hurt Lilac, but to know this was herown father, who called her like that, there was this discomfort in
her heart.
“Why did you abandon your daughter?” Lilac started, she tried to ignore his rude way to address her.“Why did you abandon your daughter?” She repeated the same question.
“I have never abandoned my daughter. She is she is the greatest thing that happened in my life.” Kellancoughed loudly.
“I didn’t talk about Grace. I talked about your other daughter that you abandoned years ago. she wasonly a little girl, but you left her to fend for herself. How could you do that?”
Kellan was silent for a while, as if he was trying to retrieve an unpleasant memory. “Who are you?” hefinally had the decency to ask.
“You don’t need to know about that, I only wanted to know what the reason. How could a fatherabandon his own flesh and blood and didn’t have a nightmare when he slept at night.”
“Impossible…” Kellan said in whispery tone, he couldn’t believe this at all. “No way.”
“Why did you do it?”

“Are you coming back here to get some kind of revenge on me?”
“Why did you do it?” Lilac only wanted to know the reason behind his action, she she could understandhis standpoint.
But, the answer was something she didn’t expect at all.

“Because you are not supposed to be born. You shouldn’t have been born. She should have killed youwhen you were still in her womb.” Kellan then laughed, as if he had entered his crazy state. “She is noteven my mate… it meant, she was nothing at all… just like you…”
Lilac bit her lip, she didn’t know what to feel when she met with Kellan. The thought of meeting herfather one day was already a complicated feeling, let alone having the one that turned into a traitor.
“So, you are that little bi ch…” Kellan grinned. His pain was forgotten for a while, because he found away to torture Hunter. “Hm… I still can remember your face. I should have recognized you right awaybecause you are like your mother.”
The word gave a jolt in Lilac’s heart. “Where is my mother? Who is my mother?” If her father was a shitty person, there was a chance her mother was not, right?
“She is dead.” Kellan guffawed. He threw his head back and laughed, ridiculing his flesh and blood.Lilac was only a silly woman, who didn’t know what the world was. “She is dead, dead! Do you want toknow how she died?”
Outside of the door, Hunter heard a shrill scream from his woman, this was a bone chilling scream thatcould send shiver down your spine.
